I discovered a new TV channel that has been playing all of these weird borderline horror films recently, that I never saw before....Halloween month , I guess.... so saw another weird one this morning...watching it until 5 am....and then to sleep with pleasant dreams... :D

Harlan County USA, Academy Award winning film.

1973 and the miners in Kentucky have no inside plumbing. This is all real footage, real people, real guns. An unnarrated documentary of their fight to join the United Mine Workers. Very moving film.

Swiss Army Man. I've got mixed feelings.
On one hand, it's a beautiful story about a young man, in the grip of hopelessness, who finds the love and acceptance he desperately craves.
On the other hand, he finds it by riding a farting corpse like a jet ski, and following its magical boner-compass to make his way home.
    I give it a 4/5

I rented Wilson to watch later tonight, has anyone seen it? I'm a huge Woody Harrelson fan

    No, but it looked good.

Anyway, last movie I saw was Crash. I know I'm like 10 years too late, but that's because I avoided this movie like the plague. Everyone said it was terrible, one of the worst movies ever made. But I thought it was pretty good.

Either I missed something or everyone else did.

    Why Him?

Christmas comedy about a girl introducing her parents to a boyfriend they do not like. He does all the wrong things and seems like a looser but is gradually shown to be more successful and intelligent. I thought it would be average but there were several scenes that made me laugh hard.

I have another movie date Friday. Flick undecided.

And I'm taking The Guitarist to see Dunkirk next week. He really wants to see it.

Me too! Have not seen Wilson yet though. My primary movie association with the name Wilson is still The Castaway :-D
What do you mean with renting btw? Like, hard copy?

Yeah through the Redbox. Do y'all have Redbox or anything similar there? They're little kiosks, like automatic DVD dispensers basically

Also, I wasnt that impressed with Wilson
