I tried watching this movie last night with Ryan Gosling as a teacher who struggles with a coke habit or something. I always have trouble with the addiction theme in cinema... Of course, when I was 19 and 20 I had a pretty serious amphetamine habit, so it may be that I subconsciously can't take the heat. I guess I don't want any feedback on that frequency, lol! I also struggled with alcohol, albeit later in my 20s and 30s. I think not as seriously as with amphetamine though. Anywho...

    I turned it off. :)

EDIT: I had seen it before anyway!

Try the Emerald Forest, 1985 with Powers Booth.
It's not archaeological but it is based on a compilation of several true stories of young boys kidnapped by the Indigenous tribes in the Amazon forest. You can rent it on You Tube.

The Set Up - really funny and light-hearted, but with a sweet message about love. I really liked it, would watch it again.

I've seen this before but I'm giving it another watch tonight. I seem to remember it being fairly good, but I hear so many bad things about Keanu Reeves that I wonder how good it can really be.

You’ve heard a lot of bad things about Keanu Reeves, do you mean his acting or his personal life?

Because when it comes to his personal life I give him a pass because no one should have to experience that much tragedy.

Throughout his years In school he struggled with dyslexia, when he was 23 his best friend River Phoenix died of a drug overdose, His longtime girlfriend was pregnant but their daughter was stillborn, 2 years later his girlfriend died in a car accident high on anti-depressants and coke, his sister was diagnosed with cancer…etc.…

I have heard criticism about his acting, but I thought the acting in this movie was excellent. Lots of action maneuvers that I would find very challenging, but I'm not an actor so I actually don't know what it'd be like. I've heard people call him a terrible actor.

I found this quite entertaining. Even good for not being Christmas yet! :)

In honour of Burt Reynolds' passing. Still one of the best car chase movies ever made. And you can tell how much fun Burt was having making it.
    11/10.
