    A Walk in the Woods

    Robert Redford and Nick Nolte

    So it was all right, a nice diversion from the superhero and vampire movies that seem to repeat the same plot over and over again.

    The movie is based on the book A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson's about his attempt to walk The Appalachian Trail with his out of shape long lost friend.

    I enjoyed the book more but the movie was well worth my $1.50 Red Box fee!
    I did find it amusing that these guys, in the movie, carried tons of clothes including a bathrobe and items made of cotton, that they ended up at a lookout 150 miles away from where they should be and they fall off a cliff in Virginia that looks like it belongs in the While Mountains of New England.

    But I enjoyed it anyway.

    I think it's a bit disappointing that there have been so many vampire movies after Interview with a vampire but none of them were as good.

    Far less good. Too over the top. Atmosphere and story of Interview with a vampire is unrivaled.
