Your attacks on Christians are completely unjustified. Yes, i'm sure prayer advocates want christianity, something like 75% of America is christian, so i would assume the most vocal people are christians. Any prayer that wants to be said would have to be allowed.

Government is NOT establishing a religion by allowing prayer in school. I still dont, however, agree with prayer in school.

You do know that catholicism is a form of christianity, right? Thanks for the history lesson btw. I dont see how allowing school in prayer would be mixing government and religion. As the constitution says, congress shall make no laws establishing a religon, OR PROHIBIT THE FREE EXERCISE THEREOF.

Some parent's don't want their child predisposed to christianity as being the truth. Prayer in school presents the christian religion as true. And just because 25% of the US isn't christian, that doesn't mean that they don't have rights.

It isn't like kids aren't allowed to pray in school...They definitely are!

And as far as decorations, I don't see why that is such a big deal, as long as everyone can be represented. If it's possible I think it should definitely be encouraged. It is a great way for children to learn about all kinds of traditions and religions.

agree, which is why i'd rather have 5 minutes of silence FOR prayer, than a principal led prayer

I think it should be encouraged to decorate for holidays non permanent displays. I.e., we dont need a big fat cross of jesus christ sitting on the lawn nor do we need a permanent pentagram. But for major holidays people should be allowed to put up displays.

How about if prayers were optional, and all faiths were encouraged to submit them to be read out.

I think all views should be respected, and none called down. Atheists, agnostics, all should have their views told.

acceptance and respect of others' faiths should be taught in school.
