the misfits are only popular coz of their silly campy deathrock image. if it wasnt for that they would be shit

you are very very misfits ignorant if you even support the so-called "misfits" anymore

I don't even like their image much...I like the songs. The Misfits, the original Misfits, definitely had a unique sound. The new Misfits might as well be AFI.

misfits are more popular now because bands like AFI and Avenged Sevenfold have used the glam/punk niche to bring it back to the mainstream. but fuck it, ive never forgotten about them

I like the Misfits a lot too.. Danzig's voice is the best part, it ties it all together...
Ive only listened the the first three albums though I think... Legacy of Brutality is so fuckin sick, and their self titled 86 album..

I read as far as this and was pissed :D

As good as Danzig is, and equally the better the band were when he was a part of it, you cannot ever say the Michale Graves incarnation was bad by any means.

Graves is a superb singer, and realistically speaking, saved the Misfits in the 90's. Jerry can't really write for shit, and that's saying something coming from a three chord punk band. Graves and Doyle wrote two pretty great CD's in 'Famous Monsters' and 'American Psycho', and pushed the band sound (although I will agree they sounded like a different group entirely).

Maybe they should have gone under a different name at the time, but since Doyle and Only were there I say no reason why they should- plus no one would have heard the new music they realised.

Either way, it's only a matter of time before a PROPER misfits reunion, as Doyle and Danzig and once again good friends, with Chud also involved. As great as it would be to se Jerry or Robo, so long as Doyle and Danzig are together that's good enough for me- although I think Jerry wouldn't pass it up this time.

I say this time 'cos he fudged up a reunion about 5-10 years ago because of some silly management bullshit he threw everyones way.
