the was a documentary about this not long ago on TV and the opinions were both mixed, as there was evidence for both reasons, so i guess we will never know

I'm sorry that happend to you flmkpr. Anyways, i think it's certainly possible that it was faked and filmed at Area 51. You can't get near Area 51. They've got these crazy MP's, and video cameras, and helicopters and everyhting! I watched this show about this guy watching Area 51 in the hills, and he got his house raided by FBI, and they took his computer and his photo albums and some of his books and magazines. It sucked.

 

national geographic channel tonight has a show on this subject. I see its going to claim to dismantle the hoax theories, but it should fuel both sides of the debate if ya'll watch it. 9pm on the east coast of america.

 

yeah with out a long exposere shot that follows a celestial body( ie a mechasnism the counters the movements of the earths rotation), even with a telescope your pics dont turn out

 

The government lies about everything, of coarse it was a hoax. U.S. was just pressured into getting up there before Russia. Notice how no moon landings have happened since? Hmmm

FINALLY someone explains it. And btw, there are no stars in the photos because THERE ARE NO STARS IN SPACE. Space is black. The tiny points of light that we see at night are reflections from the cities & flashlights on Earth.

I mean it's too much to expect that President Nixon might have been dishonest??? & made up the whole Lunar landing venture .I believe all the moon landings took place during his 2 terms in office!.

Are you joking? You are joking aren't you? The flag was not waving in the wind dude, if it were waving it would not be sticking straight out from the flag pole in a perfectly rectangular manner, there would be big ripples in it. If it was windy why isn't there dust blowing around all over the place? The flag was stiffened with wire so that it would look good in photographs. This is a simpler and far more rational conclusion than the entire thing being fake. The stars not appreaing has been explained several times. The speeded up lunar buggy and astronauts only happen because some conspiracy nut got film and speeded it up. Anybody can get film and change the speed. If I film a plane landing, or a duck walking, or snow falling and then speed up the film would it then mean that the landing plane, the walking duck, and the falling snow had all been fake? Your argument is totally nonsensical. Essentially you are saying that since the film can be doctored up and changed it is fake in the first place.

FYI... I know someone who works with the satelites, where they can go and what not. They are allowed to photograph Area 51, there's another place that they cannot photograph. Ever wonder why people hear about Area 51 and not it? so stop saying that the thing was filmed there, because there are satelite pictures of what the place looks like from the outside.

 

If you can photograph the stars in the night sky perfectly well on Planet Earth in the most extreme conditions;-why is it then impossible to photograph the stars out in space?.
The reason why no stars appear in the NASA photographs is because If the stars did appear:-it would be easy to pinpoint the fact that the photo was taken on Planet Earth & NOT on the surface of the moon-by the mere trajectory of the stars positions.
I can't explain it better than that- maybe someone else can do so for me.

The Russians backed out of the Space Race in the mid-Sixties when their scientists became convinced that landing a Man on the Moon was impossible.

President Nixon was IMPEACHED in 1974 over lying about Watergate yet you believe he would have been incapable of lying or deceiving the World about the Moon landings?.

The Flag is clearly seen waving to a fro as if caught in a breeze.If it wasn't caught in a breeze -It was DAMN WELL caught in something that resembles a breeze.

Area 51 in the Nevada Desert is completely sealed off & out of bounds to all members of the public.
When a newscamera team tried to penetrate the wire fence-the Millitary Police interjected by arresting them & confiscating all their news film.

I have a full-time job so I cannot spend the time I would like to putting up on here a detailed list of anomolies in the NASA Moon landings.

Please can someone else explain these matters better than me?.

 

if you look at the scenes where the astronaut was "dancing" around, you can very clearly see the flag is partially curled and completely motionless. but hey you are already convinced you are right, I am already convinced I am right so I feel I should stop posting in this thread. have fun wallowing in your paranoia.

 

It isn't. The Hubble telescope does it all the time. All it takes is a LONG EXPOSURE AND A STABLE CAMERA.

The photographs taken on the moon were generally done with handheld cameras and SHORT EXPOSURES, which are what are typically used for photographing objects at close range with available light. Much closer to typical "snapshot" photography than the tripod/time exposure used to photograph distant stars.

A short "snapshot" exposure will NOT capture stars, even if they are present.

Bullshit. The reason the stars don't show up is that they WEREN'T TRYING TO PHOTOGRAPH THEM. If they were, they would have used a tripod and a time exposure, JUST LIKE YOU WOULD NEED TO DO ON EARTH.

No, they gave up when their moon rocket blew up repeatedly in testing, while the US pulled ahead with the succesful development of the Saturn V rocket. They realized that the race was all but lost at that point, and essentially abandoned the project.

First of all, Nixon was never impeached. He resigned voluntarily before impeachment could happen.

Was he incapable of lying about something? Nope. History proved that he was an accomplished liar. Was he incapable of deceiving the world about something as large and independently verifiable as the Apollo 11 moon landing? Yep.

Such a conspiracy would involve so many thousands of people that it would be impossible to maintain for more than a few minutes, let alone 30-odd years.
