the new anarchist cookbook came out today!

So in other words, this is just a book about how to make yourself a social nuisance asshole.

I find it ironic that it lists a chapter on "dumpster living," which I suspect is what a lot of these knownothing wannabe hippie-types of today (read, idiot college students, teens, dropouts and potheads) will end up doing since they refuse to live in the real world until it kicks the shit out of them and sets them straight.

By the way, I had a friend in college who had a copy of "The Anarchist Cookbook." It was a JOKE. The "diagrams" they had of a so-called "machine gun" was like a kid drew it with crayon, poorly. And that thing about the drugs made from drying and scraping bananas? A hoax. So anything that book had to say, given I'd already learned about the banana hoax, was discredited, in my view.

Maybe the parts where they tell you that you can trip harder by mixing bananas and orange juice will make you "trip hard," or that you should SOAK THE PEELS IN ZIPPO LIGHTHER FLUID, AND RINSE WITH ETHER should clue you in that this is a hoax probably designed by "the Man" to KILL HIPPIES.

Who the fuck could be so stupid as to believe that soaking banana peels in Zip-...

"Bananadine" is a complete hoax, but the "extraction procedure" is written in such a way as to sound somewhat convincing, actually. It appears to be cobbled together from bits and pieces of other published extractions of THC, mescaline, LSA, etc.

Zippo fluid (naptha) and ether are common solvents, often used for the extraction of interesting compounds from plants. Kind of surprising that the author gives himself away by claiming the product to be "150% pure", though.

Errr... Thought I covered this once. First anarchist cookbook, total bullshit. New one, sounds legit. I'm getting it soon hopefully. Listen there is no way to know more about anarchy than anyone else because thats an imposibillity.

It's not impossible when that someone else thinks anarchy is blowing up stuff. I mean.. it CAN be but thats not what its all about, anarchy is more of a culture than a gov't itself.

I actually own the old "Anarchist Cookbook" by William Powell, and after I finished reading it I felt like it was a damaging book to the Anarchist movement. I mean, It contains little about the principles of Anarchism. That book is more about drugs, guns, and bombs. And to call it an "Anarchist Cookbook" is like implying that that those things I mentioned above played a vital role to the Anarchist movement. They don't. A lot of Anarchist I know don't do drugs, own firearms, or even think of blowing stuff up. And also, I think that book helped to fuel the growing misguided view of the masses about Anarchists: that they are nothing but a bunch of bomb throwers.

 

so true, the author eventually realised his book was wrong, and wanted to revoke it but the company that published it had the rights to it or something. shit, i recently looked in the anarchist yellow pages and located a local phoenix anarchist thing, theyre very near hippy. I saw some pics of protests and had a BUNCH of peace signs

 

yes, that book by william powell was no doubt bad news for the anarchist community.
