even though I love giving him a hard time, I have to agree with this and have always said PR knows what he is talking about when it comes to diet and nutrition, it's just everything else he's a bit wacky about.
but when it comes to nutrition, you certainly can't argue with his personal results.

Thanks, bud. I absolutely used to be a lard ass, and I have no problem admitting that.

I will even show this picture, which I have posted before, to show just how fat I was. And this picture wasn't even when I was at my fattest. I was probably around 245 here (2008), whereas at my heaviest (2009), I was about 265.

My head looked like a fucking bowling ball, and I was a total neckbeard.

I heard about this weight loss diet....it goes like this: Eat less, move more. Of course, prepackaged, processed foods are full of chemicals and fruits and veggies are better, but all things in moderation.

Weight loss and fat loss (i.e. body recomposition) are really two different things, though. The goal for someone looking to lose weight should really be to lose fat while retaining muscle. Anyone can lose weight and simply be a smaller version of what they used to be by restricting what they eat and doing tons of cardio. It doesn't mean they're going to look good with their clothes off.

Weight loss is really a misnomer when you go by the approach of simply eating less and moving more. To do it right is not really as simple as that.

And of course whole and unprocessed foods will always win out over processed junk. At the same time, I believe there are really no such things as "unhealthy" or "fattening" foods. It really depends on the amount and the context in which they are consumed. People like to have a black and white view of things, when that is not really how it is.

I think if a person sticks to a clean and healthy way of eating 90% of the time, it allows them room to eat the things they like the other 10% of the time, which may not be so healthy, without having to worry too much about it. The problem lies in people eating garbage around the clock.

Just a year ago I would have told you that sugar is poison is any amount, until I came to find out that really is not true. In fact sugar can be a useful tool for getting lean when it is used at the right times, for the reasons I have specified previously.

I can't see that happening, but I guess anything is possible.

I do hear that kidney stones are quite painful, though.

The knowledge of how it goes out naturally is already bad enough. But when they get stuck and one needs surgery is even worse of course :p
