i especially like the way that pine needles embed themselves into the carpet. it's like the spirit of christmas lasts forever in the berber. or in my foot.
When I was younger. My parents built this new house that had gorgeous cathedral ceilings. My Dad brought home a 13 foot Chistmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. It was in the corner with the heaters underneathe it. By Christmas morning we had thousands of pine needles all over the gifts. You could here "ping, ping". Needles dropped like crazy. lol
My husband refuses to get a fake tree. We must go and find our tree. It is our tradition. My boys look so cute all bundled up with their snow hats on. Their eyes look like > searching for the perfect tree.
hahaha youre boys sound so cute our tradition is not having enough money to buy presents anywhere besides target, let alone a tree. this year i plan on making my gifts
we have a fake one also.... though i don't know anyone in RL whom uses a real tree i beleive its not very popular in australia to use a real one. unless u count putting lights on your outside normal trees..
We get a lot for free with my husband's job. It has been a blessing for us. I made jewelry one year. I had a great time.
it's so much more fun to make the, deciding what to make for each person, hiding it from them in your closet
i only have to worry about buying for my sister and her family (brother-in-law and my nephew) and my parents... the rest of my family is in england so only need to buy cards....
the only thing i can think that i dislike now is that i used be a bit of a scrooge myself, which is kinda fucked up considering the luxurious life i have been blessed with as an only child. but now i really can't think about anything going wrong with christmas, its the perfect holiday really, i think it should be a monthly , maybe even weekly, hell maybe even daily thing to stop and appreciate each other...
it's true I wouldn't want to have Christmas more than once a year, because then it wouldn't be as special People could still appreciate each other though
Elmo's Christmas: He wished Christmas to be everyday. It was for 180 days. Everyone was miserable. If you do not know who Elmo is he is a furry red character on a children's tv show. His fish's name is Dorthy.
