    insanejester,

You're right of course but many of us grew-up watching Geraldo, Rikki Lake, and Jerry Springer, and we're used to the positive feedback we receive at the expense of someone else's misery :(

It was just IJ's last line, that struck me...not really as funny, but amusing. And actually, I was suffering from narcalyptic episodes when I posted that, so....carry on! :D

Im with Insane Jester on this one. People (not anyone here specifically) in general have a tendency to be totally arrogant assholes to the low lower class. For example, the other night at work at around 10 pm a native bum walks into the restaurant. (i work at east side mario's/ natives are the most prejudiced people in southern alberta).
Well anyways im a cook but i was hanging out in the bar and the bar tender wasnt around so i asked the guy what he wanted, and after producing two of the most disgusting waterbottles that I have ever seen, requested just a little bit of water. So I cleaned them off and filled em with water and he smiled and said thanks and was on his way. Meanwhile everyone that was sitting at the end of the wood was trying to catch my eye and tell me to just get rid of him (like every other employee) without even listening to what he wanted.
Well anyways after all this one of the managers came after me and told me never to do that again because theyll just keep coming back and the customers "dont like them". I lost it on him and told him that i would never refuse somebody water, and that if he wanted to make a deal of it we could go to the owner. That shut him up i guess... but it still ruined my night. All my friends and everyone I know apart from a few exceptions are so prejudiced. Everyone is trapped in a cycle of hating and retalliation.

well thats my rant of the night:)

You know I actually agree with both of you.... about the way a lot of people treat the homeless...

I just didn't like being classified with those people, being that I have been homeless before and actually like homeless people more then many people with a lot of people and huge attitudes about their money... blah blah....

I treat all people with respect in person and am actually one of the more caring people I know.... there is a homeless guy that "lives" near me and I invite him for dinner sometimes and would let him stay here if my room mates wouldn't kick me out for that...

My point is I do think it's sad the way the homeless are discriminated against but just because I find this one guy funny does not mean I disrespect the homeless.

Jesters right-after reading up to here you all sound pretty much in need of maybe experiencing not eating for three days and not having a home.

Hello? I was homeless for two years....

I will never once say any one homeless person is funny. He's not funny cause he is homeless... he's funny cause he goes to punch people.

So yeah, fuck you and anyone else who assumes that by saying one person is funny that I have never been homeless or laugh at the homeless in general....

you dont need to worry about anybody who judges you based on one post that you make. you seem to know where you're at, you seem comfortable with your moral situation, and i think its awesome how you invite homeless people over for supper (i dont know anybody who does that)
you rock:D keep on keeping on(Y)

I was thinking something similar about the mod. thing and then about world leaders... if they could only be as mature.... :D

Seems so simple really but will never happen....

    bah bad metaphor.
mods are good... i dont think they really cause many problems.... people resent them... but thats how it has to be.

some world leaders do alot more bad than good.

I really wasnt trying to say mods. are like world leaders- sure they are both there to keep some semblance of peace (yeeeeah)- but my point was if regular people can just be mature and deal with things nicely and move past it with no conflict... then world leaders SHOULD be able to too... and then, poof!- the world is a better place...

not so simple though i know.... :) ;)
