... With the the whole pedophile scandal, those industrial schools (slave labour & torture) ... the anti-women (the quote on page 8 of this thread is awful, if its real?), anti-gay.. and basically medieval views ..makes it hard for me to understand how they survive as an organisation?? Can people still respect them?
you could say the same about the brittish bbc organisation, though personally i don't believe every single member of it is a pedophile just cos jimmy saville was, or that everyone in that organisation played a part in that cover up for years, apart from the minority that did.
.... don't take offence, I'm rarely sure what people mean:dizzy2: and I can't work out if that's a serious answer? or sarcasm .... sarcasm I hope
The BBC does not hate women and want control of their bodies, and is not run by men who by design no nothing about women or sexuality. Nor does the BBC hate gay people, in fact I'am not aware the BBC issuing statements about who it hates and thinks unworthy of human rights........ nor does it blame Harry Potter & rock music for the ills of the world, laughable.. Nor when caught in a pedophile scandal does it blame the 'secular world' instead of shouldering the blame and looking at its self....... I could go on, but what's the point? I don't want to damage or attack anyone's faith ... but you made a statement and I replied, that's the jist of social media I guess :/ If I need contraceptive advice I wont wait for an encyclical. . ha! Love anyway:sunny
thats the problem with the bbc, they are staying very hush hush.hopefully they will issue statements soon as to what their going ta do about it.as i hope all organisations everywhere will follow the lead and the courage of all who stood together here and named and shamed those who deserved it.and as for women and gay people being hated and no contraceptives ha! ha! yes, that is laughable.i think you might be watching to many movies.and nothing or nobody can damage anyones faith.peoples faith is their own.

/ http://biasedbbc.org/blog/2013/03/18/cold-feet-for-the-hotheads That was at the top of the last site you linked. Nobody who tries to deny man-made climate change, or to lie that some jury is out or something, is worth half a fuck, journalisticly or otherwise.
I'am not sure why you think i'm watching too many movies? ... but I did say I have no interest in attacking the beliefs of others ... I am, indeed happy to defend peoples right to believe what they like ..if they don't harm anyone.. what I said is based on what I've learnt .. so you could call it my opinion, and my opinion is no danger to anyone .. Best to ya:sunny:
....OdonII ......... What I should deduce from that, you may as well just say ..I am too lazy to look at them all ..er? BBC is evil, Pope is good?? BBC, bad.. random URL's good?? my opinion that the Catholic church is illiberal is crazy? ......... You have scientifically proven the BBC dangerous?? ... I think I'll stick to writing banal stuff.. I'm out of my depth, I don't want to prove i'm right.. or anyone else wrong.. I have the same problem as ever, I never understand what people mean Peas & Love and other glib, banal junk:sunny:
Oh, but well done with the 'Snopes' post ... I wondered if the quote was real... at least I understood that... ha ha ha!!:sunny: Thanks for finding it...
I'm not one to really keep tabs on the church... or be a man of the church... but Pope Francis definitely seems a much better upgrade than his former... Pope Benedict... Pope Francis really seems to be a man of the poor and unfortunate... Hopefully this means a good direction for the church
