That was a low blow. On second thought, maybe that's not such a good choice of words considering the current topic of this thread.
I'm not catholic but I still found this to be very interesting, especially since no pope has stepped down in 600 years. He hasn't even been pope that long, so he shouldn't be blamed for the decades (or perhaps hundreds of years) of cover-ups that have gone on well before he was named. But of course I understand some people will always need to cast stones...it doesn't matter whether the one hit is the one that deserves it.
