I tend to care more about my pocketbook than social issues. If i cared more about social issues i'd def vote for the democrats.

Not at all, in the conventional sense. I read, study, and glean wisdom from all kinds of religious and philosophical sources, to use in any way that seems helpful. I have no love for any kind of religious dogma or authority or power structure, and I don't believe that faith is more valuable than knowledge and wisdom.

 

I don't know if you're talking U.S politics or U.K ones here, but Liberals have never really cared about social issues, as has been demonstrated by their siding with the Conservatives in the supposed 'coalition', making their very first action a 100% U-turn on their campaign policy on stopping the VAT increase, and backing the Conservatives on voting to increase it.

 

Then why aren't you libertarian? I'd much rather see that party gain more momentum than the GOP has now.
