The dark roots, first 2.5inches approx are all new growth and new knots since first backcombing Soon to be bleached...had a big macro photo session today before the progress marker (e.g. bleach line) gets reset.

 

Wicked did you bleach before you put the pink in?

I tried bleaching my dreads for the same reason, to get a timeline bbbbut I only bought blonde dye from tescos, not the manic panic shizz xD They are lightened but not bright I dont really mind but I wants me bloo!! XD

 

Yeh I bleach before pinking Haven't bleached since dreading though, that's the next project. I've found L'Oreal's Perfect Blonde bleaching kit good for several years, and my lasting bleaching was with Schwarzkopf's equivalent, which was even better.
I used to use Fudge colours, but used Special Effects on my dreads, and omg it's lasting forever...nearly two months old now that dye.

 

I might try Schwarzkopf actually :O I think I used clairol nice 'n' easy, left it on for 45/50 mins and barely did anything

What is special effects? Is that Schwarzkopf?
