Hehehe! Yeah Danish is quite hard to understand. They are a beer drinkers and have been drinking too much for many many generations back. I guees thats where the evolution takes you if you combine it with too much alcohol. ....Just kidding, but I always have to speak english when i´m there. Norsk is easier to understand I think. I have a cousin who lives in Oslo, and my girlfriend is 25% Norwegian.

Yeah I think it´s quite cool and original to use our own made up language. But some journalists who have written about our records don´t like it at all. But I guees they´re not that open minded yet.

My husband (who is Norwegian) said if we ever go to Denmark, he's just gonna pretend to be English ....for those who don't know... written Danish is literally almost identical to Norwegian, yet the spoken language doesn't sound anything like it. Apparently Danish infants starting school for the first time find it really hard learning to read Danish because it has so little in common with the language they've learned to speak so far.

ye they speak very thick, but it depends on where in denmark you are. Its most difficult to understand the ones who live in copenhagen, on the country side its easier ive heard...

Yup I'm English and I've been here since December 2006. I met my husband back in London in 2001 when we worked in a video store together, but I was with someone else...until about November 2006... Yeh it got a bit complicated!

No I find Norwegian really easy... though I'm still crap because I never practice lol

 

OMG SE...I didn't know what to do. Here I am raised southern baptist where they don't even want ya to move half the time during service. Then I go to that church "of course I call em' holy-rollers" then everyone simotanously just starts wailing, and gibbering, and crying, and flailing around. I was like what the hell!!! It was scary and funny all at the same time. Think I was like 17....haven't stepped foot in a church since. Found it a little fake...know what I mean. And I agree there has to be something in the jesus juice!

Well when I asked what was going on, the lady in front of me said they were "touched" and speaking the language of the angels. Found it a little weird!
