I don't see his point tbh. I'm not saying whether I am religious or not, thats beside the point. I have read the bible and SE's description of it was just so wrong (for lack of a better word)
I mean, if your going to bash something so strongly you should at least have a clue what your on about instead of just spouting out crap!

 

i think he couldve worded it a bit better to explain how strange/weird it is to him.. but he pretty much summed it up. it made me laugh too, always good

and as for bashing things without knowing what youre on about.. he does that often enough with dready methods

 

yeah the description pissed me off too... i have a lot of respect for people i know who really understand what it is to be christian. lord knows we could use a lot more do-gooders in this age. i don't like to classify myself like that really, but i was raised episcopalian and have read a great deal of the bible. it's a pretty good read
now my "faith" lies elsewhere, but my christian roots brought me a great deal of understanding about Truth. now, however, i see each religion as a model and believe that Truth is really just a big combination of everything

 

I have tonnes of friends that are from so many different backgrounds and religions. We may not have the same faith or ideas but what we all have for eachother is respect and no matter what my thoughts are on their religious beliefs I would never call them stupid or degrade them by putting a horrible spin on them. The truth is that there is good everywhere and there is evil everywhere. I choose to see the good as much as possible. You can put an evil spin on anything if you realli want too.
