they just stand in the porch, and we talk from there. If they are a member of the household who has forgotten something, the other family members get it for them. Its very complex, but there is a basic understanding of proper winterboot wearing behaviour throughout the province.... we all know what is expected of us. haha
I wear shoes inside unless I am home for the night. we just get the floors refinished and cleaned when they're dirty. it would be hard for us because of our dogs to really care about stuff like that. When I lived alone I had all new white carpet and I learned that carpet is too damn hard to take care of! I got pergo put in a month after I moved in...that shit is tough and never gets dirty!
Yep. It would suck to have the floor all grossed up just from having people over, as if there isn't enough cleaning to do with all the empty beer and rye bottles
lol.. i was just going to say that the talking in the porch usually includes booze of some sort. hahhahah... aww... gotta love SK and the idiots who live here!
I am wearing low heeled sandals, for work, they're very open and fairly smart. Usually at home I wear down at heel shoes with holes in them, which are VERY comfy, or my slip on slippers, or none at all.
I have wool hiking socks on now and was just doing that int he kitchen! it was more like spinning around though...uhm beer is good!
yea, i can kinda do it on the kitchen floor, but its just not big enough to get a decent run in and slide
barefoot when possible, when it`s not -20C outside and I`m not at work or school... but I prefer skater shoes like airwalks etc for their comfort, and good pedal feel for when I`m driving
That's what I was thinking too. Personally, I think it's really icky when people walk inside with their shoes on. Keep your floors clean!!
i'm usually barefoot. when there's snow outside i have boots, very nice ones. they have to last me a LONG time, so i put up good money for a good pair of boots. i have a pair of addidas i got 7 years ago that are still the absolute most comfortable excercise and walking shoes i've ever had. i have a pair of sandals for summer, had them for a few years now, they're still precatically like new. then i have a couple pairs of dressier shoes, brown and black, i've also had those for a few years.
depends on where i am and what i'm doing of course. to go ride arround on the bus or eat at restaurants in town i wear my one pair of real shoes, a bit worn but no blowouts yet, brown leather tops four or five row lacis. out in the boonies i wore farmer shitkicker boots to keep from stepping on rattlie shakes. somewhere i've got a pair of fuzzy's that look like some kind of actual critter hindpaws (no critter heads, but shaped like actual you know, some kind of critter feet. our neighbor's dog was absolutely fascinated by them.) when i can i like to go bare pawed too. not too often in this city though, other then in the house, where i always do, and sometimes in the garden. i can't stand tennie runners, but i had a pair of suede deck shoes that i loved to death and wore out ages ago. =^^= .../\...
:sunny: For me it varies... usually I'm in bare feet, :butterfly if it's warm enough I wear my Birk's, but if it's during the winter and/or cold, :sick2: I'll be in socked feet or, yes, I do wear those slippers with heads on them. But I must admit my favourite shoes are my chucks.
i am always barefoot, unless i am at work. i have been on vacation since wednesday, november 22, at 7 pm. i immediately kicked off my workboots and socks when i arrived home. being a barefooter living in New Orleans (temps have been between 60F-80F) i have not had shoes of any sort on, for a week. arty: unfortunately in the next hour, my vacation ends and i must return to work. therefore, i must put on my workboots.:$
