The sigs are gone

No, you definitely can't attack someone else here. But it's quite all right to attack a group of people. When it's a group of minorities, it will make you a hero.

First of all, I'm happy there are no more pictures in signatures- someone in this thread made the comment that we have a gallery for that. That is true and where pictures should be posted.

As for signatures in general, I think short signatures with quotes or other words are fine and I enjoy them so I hope they don't ban ALL signatures permanetly.

Also, about the game threads.

There are personal forums for a reason. Some of the personal forums have game threads going on in them right now and more can be created. So just because you can't play games here, whatever, create a game in a personal forum and just stop bitching.

A tiny minority of peeps can't comprehand the rules of a messageboard they willingly register with ....... and break the rules of external links in sigs.

I'm thinking that dealing with a site this size is an enormous job that takes up a considerable amount of time of individuals that undoubtedly have lives of their own. They can endlessly sift through thread after thread and a gigantic member list to seek out violators or in one fell swoop a message can be sent to the entire group. No it isn't fair but what about life IS fair? I've seen a couple threads crop up wondering about the sigs and while most in the threads seem to have a sense of humor about it there are the requisite crybabies whining about being put upon by mean old Skip and his evil minions who we all know have absolutely nothing else to do with their time than mete out perfection and equitability here- ensuring that the illusion is maintained that the Universe does indeed revolve around certain people. Waaahhhh...waaahhhh...waaahhhh!!!

The sense of entitlement evident in a few of the posts would be laughable if it wasn't so pervasive in our--- culture (for lack of a better word). It's amazing how some folks complain and bitch about how a site they use for free is administered.

 

a) I think some people's sigs are too long, so in a way I'm glad that sigs are being edited for length or shut down

b) for some weird reason we're not allowed to post outside links in our sigs, which is odd for those of us who have businesses, but anyway. Rules are rules.

... and on the topic of free speech, well... Free speech I think, as far as this site is concerned, is only free speech if it has to directly do with this site, otherwise the people who babysit this site consider it as spam.

 

If anyone had read skip's posts from early this morning then u would know that the sigs are only gone for a week...unless we keep complaining then he will keep the siggys gone forever
