Now I'm sure you intended to address my statement toward the ocean levels, but in your efforts to make intelligent sounding posts I see you've forgotten.
Even as a child you learn simple chemical reactions to things such as temperature. If the oceans were actually rising it would suggest that they were significantly colder than they previously were. It's common knowledge to most people, especially those in northern areas. Why do you never freeze water in a glass container? Remember, glass makes an excellent vaccuum, so that isn't the answer.

I intended to mention some interesting tornado trivia here, but I'll save that for another time.

Thermal expansion is a physical phenomenon, not a chemical reaction.
Water has its minimum volume at 4° (39 Fahrenheit). It's ice which expands because solid water builds crystalline structures, as water is a polar molecule (Merrian Wesbster's on-line fifth definition, you intelligence hater), but according to you, in your own luckily-not-much-common-pseudo- knowledge, just people in northern areas freeze things. Nevertheless, the minimum volume (higher density) and melting point of sea water are different. Look for the values and place them in this thread along with the proper links, if you dare to be serious once.

The see level raise is now about 3 milimeters a year, and the causes are about 50-50 thermal expansion owing to warming of the seas and melting ice caps and glaciers. Any person with a 1.99$ calculator in hand, 11 or older, and knowing the 4 basic arithmetical operations can take the thermal expansion table for water at 10 or 15° (50-59 Fahrenheit) and deduct the average sea temperature raise for the about 10 centimeters thermal raise for the last century.
