I'm pretty sure they took those planes apart, shipped them in and put them back together...

That always goes on in war , WW2 was notorious for that . Where there is war there will be looting

True, but it also doesn't help that half the Russian army is comprised of untrained and undisciplined conscripts

As reporting goes its pretty quiet . Possibly media boredom ,as fighting is still pretty fierce in the East .

I may have to look sources for information ,

This is the reason why spares are essential as most of the Russian abandoned equipment can be used against their former owners .

By Western standards these vehicles are rough .

This is an artillery support vehicle . They are used as towers but also as vehicles for artillery officers with maps and planning etc.

I just hope this is going to be short lived as the Russian occupation is unlawful

I guess it doesnt take a Rocket Scientists to work that Russia is struggling .

Resorting to storming the Steel works in Marioupol to try and bring some news home against beleaguered defenders who cant be resupplied .

VDV Airborne? That's Spetsnaz, right? So they now mostly have the bottom of the barrel-level guys left to fight this war.

Not quite VDV airborne are elite but equivalent of the West's Paratroopers

    Uniform below

TBH I did want one of those stripy T shirts until this conflict started . But not now

Now Spetsnaz are equivalent of Special Forces Troops eg our SAS( UK) . They tend to work in small groups behind enemy lines and cause mayhem and do reconnaisance work . They sometimes wear the blue beret as well .
