Huh? You are naive as shit... I wish you the best, but please wake up. You can't just quote Ghandi an expect respect...

Look, I hope you find maturity. Please experience something else before you hate your self.

Nope, it's all the fault of America. America has caused all the problems. America has caused hurricanes, tornadoes, terrorism and hate. If you are from America, then you should be ashamed. If you are from America, then your breath is causing global warming and people must die. P.S. You killed the Indians.

    P.S. (to those self-righteous)

Don't forget that "American" means that you live within the U.S.

Wow, that's fucking rude. And where in your post does it contribute to the conversation? it doesn't. You're just attacking me.

Word. This guy is obviously a troll who has nothing substantive to contribute to the conversation. I think he's the one that needs to "find maturity," if all he can do with his spare time is come on here to attack people.

Every American, is now at the mercy of the government. They can do whatever they please. Theres no longer a large peace movement, to hinder their plans.

Loyalists and Idealists, Government loves the Loyalists more obviously.

There will always be war, There will always be poverty, There will always be crime.

But its the minds that want to change that, and make a difference, that start to change those odds.

People wonder why I voted Kerry?

    I wasn't voting 'pro Kerry' I was voting 'anti-bush'

It is my opinion that the only 'bush' we need in the white house looks like a christmas tree and has a pleasant skunky scent.

I do apologize, I can be a major asshole. I'm sorry.

But you have to realize how F@&*$ing offensive this thread really is. I find nothing more disgusting than someone who fuels the fire of injustice... I take personal offense by un-deserved trollish attacks on our country. And it's why I reply offensively. I'm not attacking you personally. I'm glad you love your life. Your country can't be all that bad.

Yeah and the rich monied interests are very good at selling all of us out. They have the protections of our executive branch, while the rest of us are just fodder for their cannorns.

Why does it have to be that way??

Change is always possible, look at all the things that just "were" and then changed... Civil Rights, Womens Rights, they said there would never be freedom from oppressed governments until those wise old dead guys who started this country said things gotta change.

Change is possible, just because we've seen life in one light doesn't mean it has to be that way forever. And NO, it's not going to change overnight, it takes times, and individuals taking it upon themselves to change it.

War is an invention of mankind. Other creatures fight with each other, but you don't see EVERY shark in the world gang up, make weapons, and attack the dolphins (although that would be pretty trippy) lol. But we made up war, so we can take it away, it is NOT a basic neccessity of life!!!

Poverty is here because the povished are picked upon by the rich and cannot defends themselves. Or have made poor decision or things have happened beyond their control and are stuck with what they have. It does NOT have to be this way. But, this is how it is for now...

Crime is a product of greed, deception, the way people are raised, also a counter effect of poverty. There is a better way, we just haven't found it yet. I have done some bad things in my life, I've robbed people, house's, store's, been robbed, Ive been stabbed, Ive stabbed and beat down people in order to protect myself, etc. I was raised in the Hollander Ridge Projects In Baltimore, and my family had NOTHING. And I dont mean, I have a crappy job and make nothing, I mean NOTHING, nothing. When I was 11, the city tore done my whole neighborhood and thousands of people were thrown out on the streets, my family included. My community wasn't "worth it" i guess in the states eyes. And since the government fucked my family and myself over, I have no remorse for anything anymore. It's a dog eat dog world, and I have to do what I need to do in order to survive. If that means doing questionable actions, so be it....

This country is not perfect, it is FAARRRRR from it. But this is the land of oppurtunity, whether you believe it or not. I was raised with nothing, and after 20 years of hard work (legal and illegal) I have my own home, a car, a motorcycle, a safe with a good amount of money (i dont trust banks), food in my fridge, etc. And now, having all this, coming from nothing, I am PROUD to live in america, even though I dont agree with how the government fucks over it's people....

If the Founding Fathers never rebelled and launched a revolution against their mother country, there wouldn't be this country you love and which we now call the United States.

While indeed, this country can't be all that bad, neither can't this country be all that good either.

Don't worry, Bush and the Neoconservatives are trying their best to destroy the very foundations that this country was built on, bit by bit.

They're just trying to milk it for all it's worth while they still can. Typical short-sighted, sociopathic, republican behavior, an embarassment to the global community if ever there was one, because somehow the rest of the world thinks we're all like that, when in reality it's just a few madmen at the helm. Although, they are to some extent a reflection of what we've become as a society, it's sobering.

I may seem naive, but I have faith that the system can and will correct itself. It'll have to. Historically, all empires have collapsed, so will this one. Bush and his buddies can't survive without the rest of us. And once they leave office, they'll be fugitives, because a number of towns throughout the US will be looking to arrest them for war crimes. Then there's the heinous legacy they leave behind for the history books, and these people are vane, it'll be devastating.

Now, if only we can collectively come to the conclusion that a more equitable distribution of the wealth is necessary for our well being in the long run, meaning that some of us will need to compromise by taking a pay cut (which I'm prepared to do), we might get somewhere. When everyone has access to the basic necessities like food, shelter, and health care, we won't need to worry so much about crime, because people won't need to resort to that to survive.

Western civilization is a good idea.

but there will always be selfish people... people who want more than their fair share. People that enjoy hurting others. People like Bush, etc. As long as there are selfish, hateful people, as there always will be, peace will always be a struggle.

As unfortunate as it is, I agree with you. I wish I could disagree about this, but....(shrugs) My truthful nature won't allow it.

Mellow, I certainly wish I could agree with you, and some of us try to live by that.
