The war agains trans people ramps up in Texas

That was never really the case. They made the most about getting government off our backs and out of our pocketbooks, but never had a problem with it getting into the bedroom. They're not "libertarian" so much as American-style "conservatives", with a strong contingent of religious right types they have to cater to.

But it has gotten a lot worse. Granite45 mentions the big change that came about in the Nixon Administration when the "Solid South" became solid Republican instead of Democrat and brought their bigoted authoritarian slave holder values with them. Other biggies were the end of the "Fairness Doctrine" under Reagan, and the subsequent rise of Fox News. Then along came Trump!

 

Unfortunately, it wouldn't be WWIII. It will probably be Civil War II.

 

Leave it to Texas to dig a new low .

Here is a little history for you.
When a group of Texas Rangers came in and killed off a small village of Tenawah Comanche .
They noticed that some women gave a " good fight ", turns out they were Transgender members of the Tribe .
A young man, went through a "Coming of Age " Ceremonies to confirm his place in Society .
At the end of the Ceremony, he was offered either a doll or a shield.
If the young man chose and took the doll, he was declaring his manhood and place in society .
His decision was respected and honored .

No one frown upon him, he had a role in the society, he would be educated by Shamen in special rituals of religion, healing practices and would be a serrogate Mother / Father and respected member in the society . He / She was a Step Father to orphaned children, defended the camp as the men went hunting of off to war .

This society of today, revolves on exclusion and disenfranchisement.

Seems like Texas has disenfranchised our LTGB brothers and sisters , in their War on Life .

All I have to say, my heart goes out to my LTGB Brothers and Sisters in Texas .
As a Nermernuh Huh ( True Human Being ) and Heterosexual male with a family, I am very disgusted at these laws of social disenfranchisement, Human Right violations and injustice .

 

Conservatism used to be a cover for racist, sexist or homophobic pigs .
Once proud Dispicables, have rotted to total Degenerates.

I know what LTGB people are going though, I am a Minority .

When I lived in Texas in the early 1980's, I used to get in fist fights with " Ropers" ( Racist Cowboy types) and those people used to mock me for having my long hair in braids, being dark skinned and identifying as being Native .
I used to get mocked by Euro Americans with " War Whoops " in the hall ways.
And have graffiti on my looker with things like " Prairie "N" word " and other derogatory names, just like LTGB people in Texas face .

Keep your eyes out in Texas, the hate crimes and other Human Rights violations are going to increase.

How do gay , trans, lesbian peoples lives affect my life? Not a god damn bit, is how. Why can't people just mind their own business and let people live their lives as they see fit? Life is short / brutish enough without being surrounded by hateful jackasses .
