If it were G. Dubya up there under the same kind of pressure I dont think he would have been able to reply in such a way. As a matter of fact all of his speeches are very predictable and not interesting at all. He gets flustered when asked the tough questions. He says the same thing in all his speeches during specific time frames. It is important for any president to be able to speak well and he can't.

Trust me most senators and representatives dont take their jobs as seriously as you think. They dont read the bills. They dont have the time. The lobbyists do. And then the congressmen get paid by their corporate buddies to vote one way or the other- just depends on what the corporations want at the time. Where else are they going to get the funding for their next election? Once they get to D.C. they do whatever it takes to stay there. Bottom line is all the senators "flip-flop" because they have to. there is no arguing that. You cant rock the boat in congress.

Thats great that your parents got that check in the mail. So did my parents. But ask your parents whether or not they were making alot more money under Clinton. I bet you they were. Bush cut taxes but he didn't cut spending. So now we have the biggest deficit in history. how do you explain that? Under Clinton we had one of the biggest surpluses in history. Oh yeah and G. Dubya really likes outsourcing alot. He's probably the best president Mexico has ever had. He really doesn't seem like a conservative to me running up the deficit so much and sending all those jobs overseas.

I bet you already know what I'm gonna say about Iraq so I'm not going to say it. Go ask some troops that just got back from Iraq what they think about G. Dubya. Ask them who they're gonna vote for.

And lastly you say Kerry is a "no show." Have you ever seen any other president spend as much time away from D.C. vacationing as much as G. Dubya? He's always gone. Maybe thats why all of his businesses failed. Maybe thats why our country is going down the shitter.

 

I bet you they weren't. They make the same as they did before. And they work for the government.

 

Kerry doesn't have a great record in the senate, nor does Edwards, But Bush's performance has been mediorce at best. I'd vote for Badnarik, if i could vote that is. I don't like how Kerry is for affrimative action, i can't understand it at all. It;s rewarding lower grades in a sense and rewarding color.

 

Lovely...Your parents work for the government and you are from Bush's home state. No wonder you are COMPLETELY snowed over. How can you honestly say you want Bush for 4 more years? I guess you really don't care about those people in those pics under your sig. I can just smell the Christian conservative oozing from you.

Ooooh you have a picture of Iraqi's feeding some soldiers! Wow! And a little 3 year old girl who has no clue what is going in her country, and why did the cameraman give her colorful flag. Oh please. Majority of Iraqi's do not support the American soldiers. Get it into your thick head. Make it an effort to expand your mind, read more, interact with real Arabs, learn Arabic and watch what is going on from their perspective, and then you can try mumble some sort of truth.

When we went to war with Iraq..Bush said "God told me to do it"..

Does this bother anyone else? cause it sure as hell does me..I mean if anyone says "God told me to do it" I'd be really skeptical..and be like "you are psycho"..what God who is loving and caring would tell you to go to war, or want you to kill innocent people? Tell you to go to war based on lies..think about this..also for those of you who say. "Kerry wont be any better" or "Kerry will be the same way" what makes you say that, he hasn't even been given a chance to prove otherwise..I think Kerry is highly smart, motivated and I'd rather have him than to have Bush back knowing what the hell he has done in the past 3.5 years..I don't care who disses me..hates me..whatever..I'm voting for Kerry cause I see Kerry at least trying to do something..saying what he's going to do..if elected MY President..all I see Bush doing is fucking up when he speaks and bashing Kerry..

Wow, lovely attacks. THat's a beautiful way to promote peace and love. Butterfly, care to tell me how you are so in tune with the majority of the iraqi people? I don't think they loathe us as much as they loathe the crazed Al-Sadr's staging small rebellions throughout the land. It's no secret that the people of Najaf, that Al-Sadr claims to support, don't like him. He ruined thier way of life, and brought down the hammer on people who have already suffered so much.

Why am so in "tune"? I guess because I have the silly label as an Arab, it is my second language, and I have traveled to the Arab countries all my life. I know Iraqi families living here in the US ( a great country besides the narrowminded people like Bush). I hear about what is going on from their relatives that are back in Iraq. I go home and watch all the Arab stations and see a different perspective from what you see on channel 5. On top of that my cousin in law just got back from Afghanistan, and is going to Iraq again. And what he has directly experienced totally conflicts to Iraqi's supporting America. One close friend of ours who just returned from Iraq said "Dont believe anything you see on the news. They don't want us there, we dont belong there". Its not just the crazy fundamentalists that do not support the troops. Its more than that. Their entire life has been disrupted, and family members have died. Alot of nastiness has ocurred, and they feel that America is targeting the entire Arabs as a whole. I could rant for ever but I gotta head on a forest journey with family....

What really matters is that things do improve for Iraq, and the killing ends. That is what I would like to see happening.

 

yep, the ones I have spoken to want to know WHY we are there, also, they hate Americans assuming we are all like Bush and his administration..the thing is alot of us are not..i have made friends with a few, and they realize by talking with me, that I don't share the views of Bush and his administration..I also shared with them that we the American people do not make the decisions..that the HIGHER ups do..because I sure as hell didn't say GO TO WAR AMERICA! Butterfly, you have basically said the same thing that they told me as well..also there are a few honest people that have said, their dads/brothers/sisters are in war..and they want them home, and they also state THEY WILL NOT VOTE FOR BUSH! Because of this damn war and alot of issues that they do not agree with...I understand this brings on alot of emotions it does for me, sometimes anger and sometimes frustration..I don't get where people say that the IRAQ'S want us there, when everyone I have spoke to do not. Yeah but my cousin jsut returned from Iraq, thank god he doesn't have to go back. He siad that the people are nice to us and some a geniunely glad for us being there. They just want the fighting over, and thier hate of us is spilling over to the insurgents. Insurgents are the only thing in the wya of Iraq becoming a totally great coutnry.

 

Bologna! Iraqis felt they had a great country when Saddam was there. My uncle used to work in Iraq. He is a Hindu yet faced no religious oppression like in other countries such as Saudi Arabia and Iran. My cousin and his wife were kicked out of Saudi for having a small picture of the Goddess Kali. Anyways my point is Iraq was a secular country and the torture chambers and mass graves and Saddam gassing his own people is AMERICAN PROPAGANDA. Saddam did kill many but they were all criminals that threatened government affairs through Islamic fundamentalism. You see the Arab world is full of hoodlums and there is only one way to deal with them I'm sorry to say. Everyday, average, Iraqis did not have to fear persecution. Anyone that says otherwise is just plain lying.


Now there is a chance of a Shiite cleric taking control of the second largest oil supply in the world. And if that doesnt happen, soon after the so called coalition leaves Iraq the top man in the military will stage a coup and take over all govermental affairs. The new military regime will probably be no different than Saddam's.

 

So gassing the Kurds was a good thing? That's not propoganda that's the turth.
