the worst bands ever

Yeah, um, emo was originally just a subgenre of hardcore. It had NOTHING to do with any sort of fashions or trends or making a lifestyle out of it.
Go listen to Rites Of Spring, Indian Summer and Moss Icon. That was emo.

Any and all schlager, apres ski, jumpstyle, and 80s bands a la Duran Duran, Toto and Foreigner.

There's also stuff like metalcore and mathrock/core/metal that I absolutely can't stomach but I can't really classify it as bad music.

 

Im from Ohio so pick any of the pop-country 13 year old little girl bands that is the only thing you can listen to on the radio here. If I didn't have satellite radio I'd kill myself.

I think people really need to read this topic better. The Beatles, Pink Floyd and The Doors should not be on "the worst bands ever". Johnny Cash isn't a fucking band either. He is one person who has influenced many people with his words and music.

Everyone's opinion is going to differ, because I don't think Nirvana sucks (maybe cause I had an obsession with Kurt Cobain :]]]]) but bands/singers I believe aren't very good are:

1. Van Halen.
2. Metallica.
3. Def Leppard.
4. Avril Lavinge.
5. Michael Jackson
6. Most pop singers like Christina, Brittney, Hillary, Lindsey..etc.
7. MCR
8. Hawthorne Heights
9. Simple Plan.
10. Obviously people like Nsync & Backstreet Boys


The list could go on but i cant think..

 

Wow, after reading through this I now realize that some people have reaaaallly shitty tastes in music.

It must really suck not to be able to appresh some of this stuff. If Pantera, Megadeth, Slayer or Metallica is the worst band you can think of, consider yourself lucky - I've heard david bowie. hahahaha.

This is a terrible thread. It's become a negativity trap where no matter what is being said, you're shitting on someones favorite band. People are getting angry and just saying nasty things about other people's favorite groups in retaliation, whether they actually think those bands are bad or not.

It's really turned into a shit slinging contest and there are no winners in a shit slinging contest, just a bunch of people covered in shit. Shitty, shitty shit!

Just thought I'd point that out. Keep posting if you'd like to continue being angry at each other and like the smell of feces but I've just popped in to say my thing and now I'm out!

 

Hey, Share the Warmth, I wanted to say that I absolutely agree with you from the very beginning of your post to the very end. This thread would not be as bad as it has become if people would act in a mature manner and have the ability to discuss what artists they like and dislike without taking offense and throwing insults at one another.

Also, just because someone takes interest in artists you dislike does not mean that person has a poor taste in music. Everyone likes what they like, and there is no "right" or "wrong" taste in music. That is just my two cents.

I think it's sick that people care so much about how things are worded. It's what people mean by their words that counts to me.

After all, whats the difference between saying "HIM suck ass" and "I dislike HIM"? Nothing.

 

There's a HUGE difference in the two. saying "HIM sucks ass" is an insult to the band, claiming that HIM's music is atrocious, while saying "I dislike HIM" is merely stating that their music does not appeal to you.

Amen to that! My roomate at schol last year loved that band and every time he put that shit on I prayed for a power outage. I'm gonna have to say that Abba is my least favorite band of all time.

 

vanilla ice was a fuckin fake. he lip sync all of his songs he didnt sing or write any of them he was just some stupid dumb fuck icon. i do have to agree with u about emo bands but why u puttin hate on pink floyd man? ITS PINK FLOYD FOR GOD'S SAKE!
