Well it was close the past two elections and with the number of fringe parties and the SNP gaining popularity in Scotland. Yes, seriously. I think it's a possibility!

I don't think the tories are as popular as they like to think they are. They got 24% of the electorate vote last time, which when you take into account children that's 18% of the population of Britain who backed the tories in 2015.

How many of their supporters are going to turn away from them because they don't want Brexit, and how many people who don't want Brexit are going to turn up and vote tactically? A third of the electorate didn't vote last time, and I was one of them. This time, I'm going to turn up and vote tactically just to try and make sure we get scum out of 10 Downing Street. Not because of Brexit, but people will turn out and vote to try and stop that. It's already been stated by an EU official that a new administration in Number 10 could reverse Brexit.

A hung parliament is the best case scenario for the tories, I guarantee you they are on the way out.

I'll agree to disagree with you on this - I think it will be a landslide because she has no credible opposition and labour will be decimated. At least after the carnage Labour will be able to rebuild without JC at the helm and hopefully grow into a decent opposition party which this country needs.

We'll only know the answer when the result comes in................

    Well find out soon.

The Blairites will get behind Corbyn, or else they'll be replaced.

They all lie to get in to power, and even if they don't support Corbyn they'll get behind him for this election. It's their only chance for another 5 years.

The media is good at spinning this as a personality contest. What matters at the end of the day is who we can trust, and the result of this next GE will show just how much the people of this country have lost faith in the tories, what little they had.

    I hope you're right.

I'm thinking carefully about how I'll vote. Today I got my postal voting papers for the local elections, and voted Green. Perhaps we'll get a couple more Green councillors in the area.
However, I can't see them having much chance in the GE around here, as it's a relatively safe tory seat. Our MP is an absolute piece of shit. One of the few who voted against the speaker's ban on Trump addressing Parliament, a cheer leader for Saudi interests and a complete crypto fascist douche bag. I've written to him multiple times on different issues and the only time I got a meaningful reply was when I wrote about illegal puppy farms.

So probably I'll vote tactically.Getting rid of the tories is the primary goal. Undecided whether it'll be Lab or LibDem, I'll see how the local polls look closer to the day. Lab won it once under Blair the first time - but too early yet to decide.

What? You lost money on privatisations - BT, British Airways and their ilk?

We had to pay more, because the private companies charged more.
When things are privatised it's what happens, everyone knows that!
The NHS is going that way now, just by giving control to them selves, it's what conservatives do! Charge rent, don't have to give out much money, so get fat wages for doing nothing, why would it change?

I never made money from BT .Do you know people that did?

In the four days since Theresa May announced the general election:

    1. Her Director of Communications quits
    2. She refuses to debate with Jeremy Corbyn
    3. She bans the public from her event
    4. She bans political journalists from her photo-op
    5. Her press secretary quits
    6. She bans workers from talking to journalists on factory visit
    7. She pushes the de-selection of one of her MPs
    8. She forces her MPs to sign a three lock pledge

    What's a three lock pledge?

How binding are tories pledges anyway? About as binding as the devil agreeing to not burn your soul.

Apparently if Labour had abstained with the SNP then that would have forced a vote of no confidence in the government. Not really sure what that means though, or how it's any different or better than the chance to vote the bastards out in less than two months.

The BBC bias towards the tories is making me ill.

Yesterday there was a woman on saying she used to vote for Labour, but because she doesn't like Jeremy Corbyn she's going to vote for Theresa May.

It's all bullshit. If you used to vote Labour then you don't because Jeremy Corbyn is allegedly a poor leader then you never were a labour supporter in the first place, you were a tory. And you're an idiot if you vote for any party based on the personality of their leader.

This **** NOW wants to reclassify "skunk" as a class A drug! Because Lord Monson wrote to her about it, because his son killed himself and now he blames cannabis. These idiots don't even know what skunk is, it's just a hybrid variety that was cultivated in the 1970's and is a sativa/indica cross. Skunk has since become associated with general hybrid strains, and is now being bandied across the media as defining of high strength cannabis that is (allegedly) causing psychosis.

And these morons in positions of power leap on this distortion of the truth and start preaching like they know all about it, yet most of them wouldn't even know a bag of weed if it hit them in the face.

The point is, the greater the strength THE BETTER! Because then if you are going to smoke it you only need to smoke a little to get the effects so it's not damaging your lungs so much. Microdosing. And also, it's skunk that you want as opposed to poorly cultivated high THC low CDB medical value weed, full of chemicals and god knows what else.

These tory bastards are preaching to the country and passing laws on something they don't even understand the first thing about! And you can't tell them either, they don't want to listen and believe me I've tried with Lord Monson. Poor guy losing his son but he shouldn't blame cannabis. He is right that it's prohibition that's the problem but for some reason wants to have "skunk" reclasiffied as if that's a change to the law that could even effectively be policed.

I get what your saying about voting! No way would i vote conservative! They are what they are, no matter how nice the candidates seem! That's what conservatives do, then when they are in, they hit! And then people say, wish i hadn't voted for them..I know from experience!

But weed..Mmmm we have to agree to disagree on some points there WD..
Tbh, there are more things I'm concerned about, that they leave our NHS alone! Our benefit system gets a fair and honest overhaul! That PIP is shit!
So is the immigrant benefit help! Our trade and immigration laws need looking at, as does social housing! But i guess we all have our issues..

The Tories' lead in the polls has dropped 8% in a week. Funnily enough the (right-wing) media aren't talking about it.

Polls are about as believable as the political parties they claim to measure.

If Theresa May was thinking about heading down to Edinburgh tomorrow after Aberdeen, they're having a big bonfire up Calton Hill for the May Day Beltane celebrations. Just saying. "Kill two birds with one stone" as the saying goes. Save them building an effigy this year.
