as long as this is up, i'm posting a "i need lovin" post. tell me fabulous things, talk to me. Keep me company
I spent a good portion of my day in an antiques and rare books store. I felt like I was in Heaven. How nerdy am I?
thrift stores are my heaven. its my "cheers" where everybody knows my name, and they're always glad i came.
less nerdy than I am, I once spent an entire day digging through used computer parts, and old books, and I WAS in heaven.
I ignored the few pieces of furniture the guy had. Instead I looked through every book in the shop. He even let me behind the register so I could look at the books he had stashed there.
>i love antiques with an unhealthy passion. >>for a girl? GROSS. girls have cooties. >>> today wasn't a bad day really. now i'm just getting bored.
yeah, im pretty damn bored myself tonight. we rented a couple of movies, and watched them, hubs at band practice. blah..
I am on a first name basis with every used bookstore owner in the reno sparks area, a few of them have my phone number so they can call me if they get something in they know I'll like. and, at the bookstore in town where they ask people to leave their bags at the counter, and they'reVERY strict about it, they let me come in wearing my bag.
I used to have a store I would visit like that. Unfortunately the lady that owned and ran the shop was stabbed to death for the money she had in the cash register.
yesterday i visited the most fabulous university. and their library was fantastic. i think everyone here knows about my love affair with libraries. I was almost sold solely the library itself. It was two buildings connected by a sky bridge. gah, i can't explain it, i'll look for pictures. it was fantastic.
