What's crazy about it was it was a mesquite tree he hung himself from. So I don't really know what position they found him in, cuz the way you do it from a mesquite tree (since the branches are so low to the ground) is bend the branch all the way back and then strap on the noose. The branches are really bendy, so once you let go of the branch, it would snap back and break your neck, clean and easy. Pretty twisted.
not really, religious people say that about most dead people. the idea, i believe, being that everyone sins and if you care about the deceased then of course you want god to forgive those sins and grant him the best possible afterlife.
We've got a big mesquite in our yard that has branches on the ground. I was so confused when someone told me that's what they found him in until someone explained it to me.
When I was a kid (maybe 10) every once and a while we played with a kid about 8 blocks away. He was kinda weird but he taught us how to make a hangmans noose. But he got weirder tell one day he hung himself in there back yard in a cherry tree. We heard about it and went running up there just in time for the ambulance to drive off. Standing across the street just looking at the house and tree not knowing what to do we just stood there. All of a sudden we heard a chain saw firer up and his dad came walking out of the garage with the saw running wide open. He cut the tree down and throw the saw down still running and walked inside. I remember my best friend saying "that was a nice cherry tree, why'd he kill it". We walked home not talking and never said a word about it again.
