The problem is, there are a lot of people doing a lot of things in the name of Christ. Yet it should be obvious to anyone who knows Christ, that what they have done has nothing to do with what Christ taught. Jesus said that there would be many who worshiped Him with their lips but their hearts are far from Him.

And I think you need to understand that another HISTORICAL TRUTH is that people who murder in the name of Christ are not Christians. Because Jesus said it Himself, no murder will enter the kingdom of God.

Im fascinated with the broader story behind the choice, timing and social implications in this.

As normal moderate Christians know all too well.. every Easter is preceded by what is the annual 'AntiChrist' period in the Media.
Newsweek, Discovery Channel, A@E, CNN will all come out with articles and 'discoveries' which are usually 'back masked' as:
The 'Historical' Jesus.
or
The 'Real' Jesus.
or,
'Jesus investigated' and on and on.
The idea here is that to create an idea that the Christless Jesus is a 'real one' and there is a 'unreal Jesus' who is made up as a Christ.

As always, the articles will be absolutely chock-full of:
"Scholars agree"
"Scholars now believe"
"According to scholars..."

Now this is pretty much as much 'deception' as you could ask for outside a Micheal Moore film.
The fact of the matter is that the vast majority of Christian Scholars are... well... Christians.
Now,
You can simply go out to the fringes on either side.
With 10s of thousands of Christian Scholars I guarantee you I can find you 50 that are 'higher critics' and well over to the 'liberal' thinking.
Usually found in secular liberal Universities and they make a good living being a sort of 'Safe Christianity' to sell in Chapters (bookstore chains).

The 'key' here is that you 'pad' your documentary with 5-6 of these far-left types... BUT... be sure you find the most 'reasonable sounding' ones.
Ok.
Now go farrrrr to the other spectrum and get an unreasonable 'fundie' or 'televangelisty' type for them to look even better off of.

It was amazing and AE was all but 'forced' to repeat it the next day from incredible audience demands.
Hmmm?
The 'problem' is that many accused him of making something that 'while true and good' could have also given 'racist types' some sort of ammunition.
Bad.
He lost alot of favour with 'Hollywood'.

Cameron is an odd one.
He really has been 'King of Hollywood' and he all but made them acknowledge him whether they liked it or not.

Anyways, Cameron has also had a wacky sort of 'outs' in Hollywood for reasons i dont know why either.

The point here is that Cameron and Simcha are standing around at a time when Passion of the Christ all but punched Hollywood in the face.

Even though Davinci Code did succeed into duping many people.. it also made them more alert to 'hoaxs' and this 'incredible timing' thing.

Im definately interested in their evidence but its important that people realise what this is.
Its a rather old discovery and it already had a (now debunked) movie 'documentary' made about it.
This is a remake.
There has been some 'funny business' going on with this film. (not illegal but ethical complaints etc).

Anyways, the whole thing seems to be met with the rest of the archeological world pretty much telling them they are dicks.

They have DNA of evidence? Of what? The names Mary, Joseph, and Jesus in their given language were VERY common. There is also claims they read scratches as part of the lettering and the name could of likely been different. There's also the fact that if Jesus faked this whole thing and lived about 5 miles from where he preached a lot of what we're taught then someone would've exposed him. This is all cashing in on The DaVinci Code. Nothing more. Nothing less.

 

Though I disagreed with the decision, I totally understand why they removed your intolerant rhetoric to this board.
