"you glued your fuckin hair man think for a second how sane is that?" thats the bit you don't understand. I didn't glue my hair together.
no u paid someone else to glue yopur hair together gee yea now it sounds so much smarter..lol glue cost 50 cents you paid someone 50 bucks to squirt it in..brilliant ya know if i gave a shit abouit money it would be so ez to start scamming kids like this..ppl have been scvammed into using peanutbutter to get dreads..into not washing theyre hair for a year..ppl will do some very sti\pid shit ..and will pay hiundreds of dollars to have ya screw em all up but im really not into taking peoples money or scamming them or doing anuything to harm theyre dreads so forgive me if im not applauding your brilliant ability to be scammed its your hair you gotta live with it but if ya got 1/2 a brain then youd think for a momment..why the fick did i just pay someone to do that crap to me..and ytoud get that crap out while u can
does any1 remember that dumnbass that was banned the 1 with the gross waxy dreads that was as syuburnly ignorant as this kid..the 1 that refused to believe he made a mistake using wax...then when he finaly realized how bad it was he went through several dozen threads insulting everyine elses dreads.. doesnt kiwo remind yas of him? just flat out refusing to admit the possibility he screwed up glue..what does glue do..makes shit stuck together right? prevents things from moving..how the hell is glue good for dreads when dreads must move to knot? how wull glues together hair ever really dread as long as the gloes still in there? it aint opinion dude its fact.. you fell for a scam..look we all know knottyboy and dreadheadhq are scammers right with theyre waxes and kits that do more hatm thengood..well even thoise mega scammers warn of the salondread scam which basicly is just glieing crap togerther into a mess you tell me exactly why glue is good for dreads (if theres any way at all to logicly come to that conclusion) dreads are a natural state of hair..what about glue in your hair is natural? it biggles the mind that you cant see that it makes no sence at all is it that embarrassing to admit u fell for a scam when we know 1/2 the ppl here today are here because they fell for scams too? but at leasty most are smart enough to realizre theyree mustakes and accept advice graciosly and do whats right for theyre dreads instead of deffending theyee mistakes (ok not entirely true some p;l d deffend some mistakes that arent as blatently odvios as glue) ..but i'll leave it to others to talk sence intoi ya cause u seem totaly incapable of thinking it through yourself. you even admit that wax probly doesnt belong in dreads..so..come on tell me why wax dont but glue does? and the argiment that other ppl used it wont work..other ppl useed peanutbitter honey axel grease wax and latex to do the same crap but in every case the resilts were the same...a mess.. will u only admit yoiur mistake when your bald? googling hair glue dreads mistakes you'll find a few http://www.google.com/search?client...=hair+glue+dreads+mistakes&btnG=Google+Search most are smart enough to admit theyre mistakes and learn from them..nitice it toopk em months to get the glue out and start over.. but congrats you come ip number 2 in that search and the 1 the most stuburn about accepoting that ot was a mistake hellodreadhead came up 3rd and shes already told u it was a screw up glue does not belong in hair periud have u ever gotten gum in your hair? did u ever for a second think hmm maybe i should leave it there i bet its a good thing... no logicly you knew gum doesnt beling in hair..so why the hell would glue? u find anyone whos not trying to sell ya glue whos got the opinion that glue is good for hair (punk kids with liberty spikes dont count) and then ya have the right to say im just opinionated but when the entire logical world knows glue shouldnt be in hair then how can u say its just my opinion?
actualy just found myself quite entertained looking through the 52,900 different pages that came up under hair gle dread mistakes..i found more then a few idiotic ones that ended up bald some that used the tiniest drop of supergle to glue beads to theyre freads for haloweeen and ended up loding kneew length ddreads...theres actualy alot ferewwer pages telling about experiences making mistakes as there are pages warning about that being a mistake and a common myth that dreads can be mnade using hair glue but a few of the actual mistakes ones are pretty comical except that most were written in to advice collumns not exactly dread freindly and theyre only advice was shave your damn head and dont be so dumnb again dude cant ya tell i give a shit enough about your dreads to take the time to help ya ? ive told u ovber and over..what could it hurt to try the glue removal crap.. if your dreads arent just glies together then they wont be hurt at all bu not havin glue in em...and if they are just glued together thgey wont dread till its gone.. perhaps yad rather write into some advice column and have em just say dont be dumb shave your head (then make a joke about maybe ya shouldnt have ate paste in school either) we can save your dreads ua know..90% of the ppl here have made mistakes maybe only 1 other used glue but most have made mustakes..thats why were here to learn from eachother.. so start learnin
hahahaha....this is hilarious. I would love it...change the password to 'bambi' and I will impressed but not until then. brute force my account dude... I like how he keeps using the word mature for his dreads and they are 3 months old. I wouldn't even consider year old locks mature in the least.
a lot. i have some really thin dreads in the front , but most of my backside are really hard and thick.
if your glue is completely safe and sound like you said, I suggest applying it 3 times a day, 7 days a week. why do it only once? c'mon! its safe right? its invisible tooo! nobody will notice and see it. so glue those bitches all day! are your dreads also going to look invisible once they mature? just curious. fuck your patience thing critik! patience is nothing compared to invisible
??? I was refering this to kiwi cause he's rushing things by using glue while he should just be patient so ye. But you do have a point if he thinks its harmless then jus cake it in glue see what happens
sometimes u gotta type like this to be understood <sarcasm> fuck your patience thing critik! patience is nothing compared to invisible </sarcasm> he was saying why be patient and wautr for dreads when pouring superglue over your head will bry invisible and make ya look like y got dreads quicker.. i suspect kiwi has a slight issue with others judging him which isnt his fault and i apologizr for being a jerk but when logic didnt woirk i knew ridicule would certainly push those buttons you see he was dealling with the same thing every dread deals with..the growing pains the messy baby stage..and i bet some idiot made a stupid comment ..one like every single 1 of us heard earlu on..your dreads dont look like dreads..you should _____ (wax em twist em go to a salon cut em whatever) and because hes got an oversensativity to critisism he ran off to a dsalon to get his dreads gluesd with the promice of instant maturity and now when ppl with more mature dreads laugh and sayu he made a mistake the embarrassment is doubled so he strikes out against them..and he.l he paid for the mistake so hes bound to deffend it insistin g it was the right wauy to go only believing it was right can save him from further embarrassment.. he wont allow anyone to help him now because hes been steered wromng and is afraid he'll be steered wring again and end up even more embattassed but kiwi..we love dreads here..not money..you were steered wrong by someone who loveds money so much she sells fake dreads for a living to silly lil raver kids who dont care 1 bit aboiut dreads really they just wanna look cool..they wear rubber dreads that look fake as can be..those are her clients..ppl who dont care about dreads really they just wanna look cool for awhile so they glue on some rubber strups and call em dreadfalls ortr they pay someone to glue theyre hair together and they call that dreads but they aint dreads at all just hair binded together with glue.. here u have the advice of ppl who care deeplt about dreads who wont steer you wroing because we love dreads to be dreads..not messes.. we're not trying to sell ya nothing just reying to help u have the best dread journey possible and it is a journey..a long one theres no shortcuts ..only dewd ends..take a wring turn and u dont end up where u hope u end up with your dreads in a bag... do u want the journet..or do u want to rush off fast as u can blind to the cliff your about to plummet over
Some people need to learn on their own, I guess. I sure was alot more patient with my second set of dreads, because I knew what to expect and was fully prepared for at least a year of bad hair days. I had also learned the hard way, not to use wax or any other sticky substance in my dreads. My hubby learned that working on them in the beginning is a waste of time, after he put in hours and hours of palm rolling and root rubbing and then saw my dreads develop with no work at all, at the same rate that his did....and none of my little guys have broken off, like his have. With every set of dreads that I start, make shampoo/tea for and admire, I learn another reason to just leave them alone! The only good things to put in your dreads are: aloe vera, natural shampoo, vinegar rinses and herbal infusions. This is from experience, and no, I don't want you to buy my shampoo or anything. I'm just trying to be a helpful, dread head elder.
exactly just think how many young dreads we seee.. every dsay many many new dreads are born....most choose backcombing many waz..many crochete the magatityu i bet palm rill at lkeast..less then 5% I BET LAST 5+ years too many want results now and sacrifice boiw for lkater they get the instant gratification but end up with dreadsthat just dont last kiwi if u want yours to last..google hair glue removers soak your dreads in 1 i saw a cutrus based 1 thats proiblky the most natural and gentle.. then infold the ends and get that string out.. yjen jusrt be patirnt id write ot off as a costly mistake u can try getting youre money back, but i bet ya she'll just ignore ya when u yttry..hell even if u took her to court over it i bet she wouldnt even show up.. she dont care who she screws as long as she can keep on scammin others.. good luck with it i seriusly hope u do what u gotta to sdave your dreads and give em a chance at lasting a lifetime byw by her own admission she hasnt done any dreads that way that have lasted longer then 4 or 5 years...mine are going on 20 soon..theyre older then you are... who do u think has the better chance at givin u advice that will help yours last a lifetime?
wow everybody. Im really appalled at how rude youve all been to Kiwii! I understand your all really pasisonate about natural locks especially since you've seen and helped people through the horrors of wax and other weird dready scams....but geesh...he's just a kid! Leave him the heck alone! So fucking what if he put some glue in his hair. He's happy with it....what the fuck is it to any of you? Perhaps his dreads will turn out just fine...then again maybe they wont....it's his journey...his alone....so let him take it and leave your criticisms to yourselves!!!!!!!!!!!!! * sorry for using the F word...I dont like to cuss....but damn SE especially youve really dissapointed me here brother! You need to learn when to gracefully walk away from an argument.....he wasnt even arguing with you in the begininng...he was being super sweet and you kept insulting the poor guy!!!!!!!
Hmm maybe you've got a point mandyland, although I don't think anyone was being intentionally rude, I certainly wasn't anyway. I personally couldn't care less how people go about starting dreadlocks whether they go totally natural backcomb, crochet or whatever. After a while as long as you don't keep applying anything sticky to them they will become "dreadlocks" I was merely trying to give him a little advice not to bind his hair with something, that might a few years down the road cause problems which was exactly what happened to me. Look I had to cut several inches of my dreads off because they were stinking when they were wet, and despite the fact that they were smelly I was still pretty gutted about losing that much length from my dreads. All I was trying to do was to give him a little advice so he doesn't end up with the same problem that I had. True enough I don't know how water soluble this hair glue is, but what I will say is this. If it does wash out completely what would be the point in putting it in your dreads in the first place? Here I'm not totally sure myself of this point. Maybe it does help to hold them together to encourage them to form?? Any thoughts anyone? And the flip side of the coin, if it doesn't wash out then in the long run you will end up with build up inside the dreads thats just obvious in my eyes, maybe not in six months or a year, but at some point within 2 + 3 years I would guess it will start to get nasty. My problems came from wax usage and after all those years there was no way that stuff was comming out. I did try for a while with boiling water + dishsoap, and plenty of other things besides. Nothing worked..... After all these years of dreading looking back I wonder why on earth I put that stuff in my hair. I honestly have no idea. I remember reading somewhere online a while ago, someone who said "why would you ever want to put something in your hair that it got stuck there?" The more I think about this statement the more sense it makes to me.....
I'm quite skeptical about using glue, but I did think of one really bright side to it all. If the glued parts of the dreads start to crap out, if the hair has grown out a lot, that part of the dreads can be cut off, and the new dreaded hair grown from the scalp would be all natural. albiet, this would take a quite long time. I have been kinda sad about frying a few of my dreadlets with bleach, but once they get down to my bellybutton *I know it'll be 10 plus years, and yes I'm dang determined to keep them that long or longer*, then I can cut off the fried bleach ends. I'll trim them up at that point, so they won't get much longer. It would be possible to do something similar with glued dreads if they start to hold water or something. Just a thought at least
Sorry I didnt mean everybody who had responded to the original thread was acting rude....I guess I was just upset by particularly SE's unrelentless speal on how he thinks this guy is doomed.....albeit some good points were made but inevitably I just think it got a little out of control! And SE I dont mean to offend you at all....i love ya lots....
