I just wanna repeal EPA 420.

But hey - when you have your revolution? Attack the government itself, not some poor shlub trying to make ends meet running a store, or some student who can barely afford the cellphone you're beating him up for.

I'm not advocating revolution, I'm just saying....

I wonder what will happen when this activity eventually hits the U.S. Nothing stays quiet forever. I wouldn't be surprised if the government declares all of them terrorists.

Some states have laws now that can cut off students' funding and the right to attend higher education institutions if they are involved in what the government considers terrorist activities. It's a convenient way for the government to use the 'war on terror' to suppress demonstrations on campuses. They want to keep things as quiet as possible.

I mentioned earlier how the U.S. government got al Manar, a Lebanese news source, off the satellite airways by declaring them a terrorist group. All the satellite companies dropped al Manar like a hot potato out of fear of being accused of aiding a terrorist group. I wonder if the U.S. will do the same thing to al Jazeera this spring when they start transmitting in English in the U.S. The U.S. already kicked al Jazeera out of Iraq.

In the 60s it was referred to as civil unrest. Today it's terrorist activity. Things have changed. It's not just an issue about people who are involved with civil unrest. It's a matter of how the government can pick and choose what it considers a terrorist activity and use it to get rid of groups it doesn't like.

    Civil Unrest ?

What has made them so upset ?

Not getting money thrown at them ?

The government not giving them jobs ?

Thier poverty that are more than likely thier own fault ?

Or, is it because we are infedals and we need to die ?

I don't see it as much more than hatred, laziness, and greed...

There's a big difference between the following two situations:

60s - people take to the streets to protest and demand freedoms and the rights to do things.

2000s - violent youth take to the streets to torch, pillage, loot, rape, burn and kill demanding money, privilege. The OPPOSITE of freedom.

I agree, like the expression "When in Roman do what the Romans do" Clearly these Muslim youths do not respect France nor wish to live peacefully among other religions or groups. & last I heard a Religion wasn't a race. I also heard you have to be a legal immigrant to go to school & get work in France. Sadly these people are not. What France needs to do is clean up & fine turn there immigration policy.

    http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/europe/11/10/france.riots/index.html

    Excerpt:

    "
Some of the rioting had been organized through Internet blogs that have now been shut down, de Villepin said. (Full story)

More is being done to strengthen the intelligence-gathering capability of French authorities.

In order for French society to provide the same changes and opportunities to all its citizens, said de Villepin, 30 billion euros ($35.28 billion) will be spent in France's riot zones, with the focus primarily on helping young people.

The French employment agency will focus on 239 hot zones, he said, to help provide jobs for 1.5 million people.

Although France's national unemployment rate is about 10 percent, in areas hit by rioting the level is nearer 40 percent.

France has no affirmative action; an official French study found that youths with Arab-sounding names have their job applications rejected up to five times as often as those with traditional French names.

Now France's PM is calling it an Unrest! WTF! Also saying that the US had riots back in 92' but what France had was just Unrest. I always thought that the French were two faced now I know they are.
