oh those shoes are awful....and except for the third picture, they are ruining 3 perfectly cute outfits
I'm pretty sure some political advisor did some research and found this term made him look more "down home," less "Washington."
...and mondays always gets me down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPmbT5XC-q0"]The Carpenters - Rainy Days And Mondays - YouTube
the word Partner I hate it, I hate the way its used today. You may have a dance partner, or a business partner. But to describe the love of your life as simply 'partner' in the way it is used today is terrible. I rang for a booking at a restaurant last night and told them that my fiance and I will be there at a certain time; the idiot on the phone asked "Do you and your partner want a window table?" I hung up.
To be fair, it seems a common expression from many who wish to gain sympathy from others, and speak of 'the common man/woman'. As well as 'ma and pa' - how many people do you know who use that term? It just comes across as even more contrived from him than others who use any of the above. .
around here the word "partner" is generally only used by gays sometimes in the obits its used for hetero couples who are basically common law married but not officially married
Horrible word. Just horrible. Really very horrible. Terribly horrible. It doesn't do a butterfly justice at at all. Even in Dutch the word is much nicer: vlinder.
I don't know, to me Schmetterling sounds much better than butterfly. Vlinder is nice too! The Croatian word is leptir.
Schmetterling sounds like some kind of disease, not like a gracefully floating living work of poetry. Leptir also makes me think of a disease.
