This is what is wrong with millenials today

Well, to not tip toe around with thoughts here, but does that just apply to when you feel that it fits or when you are trying to convince someone else of something?..., as i have heard you both trash the politicians you don't like mercilessly, at the point where I was in shock at times, where it felt like it hurt me, it was so bad, at times..

I have, too, but I don't say everyone has to like everyone, either....

Also, I always meet everyone with a clean canvas, and think that everyone is just as wonderful as i am as a human being.....no shit.....and I am kicked in the head with rude awakenings many times....

I never meet anyone thinking this person could be full of shit.

That would have saved me a lot of pain, I think, if I had....but I am not built that way.

 

I have vivid memories of sitting around, getting high, talking, playing darts, board games, etc. while MTV was on in the background playing music. I recall watching it the first day it aired, when cable TV was in it's infancy. No bullshit shows, no lame-assed voyeurism, just music videos 24/7 with the occasional obligatory 30 second "commercial" reminding us we were watching MTV.
Then came the VJ's and their bits got longer and longer and thus the downhill slide began.
Any other old farts recall those days?

What the fuck happened????
Why has so much of "entertainment" become voyeuristic?
Is it because of insecurity and uncertainty?
Is it because we think if we focus on the other guys worst traits it makes us better by comparison?
Or have we become so devoid of personal worth that we idolize and envy those who seemingly have a better experience in this journey merely by virtue of how much $$$ and shit they posses? (or rather posses's them).

Each thought and gesture is caught in celluloid,
there's no hiding in memory, there's no room to avoid...

 

Trashing politicians is like sport. It's not even in the realm of reality. It's like talking crap about an opposing sports team.

I'm sure I'd embrace Hillary after a long talk with her.

remember my dear, that I like you, are doing the best I am capable of at any given moment, sometimes it is "good", sometimes not so much.

At least there's always sesame street. But it's not the same as it once was lol. I watched a episode like few months ago. It just wasn't what I grew up watching.

Whatever happened to the good cartoons? Now they're all lame and really badly drawn and animated. Kind of been overrun by family guy I notice. Which has its moments but I don't think should be on the TV in afternoon cartoon line up for kids.

 

Cookie Monster eats fruit now...I guess cause so many American kids are fat.

It's just evolution. They just have to constantly top it or they won't be competitive. When MTV rolled around how many reality shows were there? Shit we were probably watching the A-Team or Blazing Saddles. I don't even remember. The next thing you know it's Jersey Shore on prime time and fist-pumping becomes a "thing".

But you can't stop it complain as you might.

 

And I didn't see Oscar the grouch either he was my favorite and the big mammoth snuffaluffagus lol.

 

I got a stuffed Mr. Snuffleupagus when I had a short hospital visit at 17 years old.

My stuffed animal collection has been in limbo since we got the dog. Our spare room is always closed because it's just a spare room they are all on the bed. I remember how I used to be really attached to them and things. Now it's sad to go in there in a way.

 

They don't appreciate the finer things in life
