Right, I'm going to get two day tickets too i reckon. I'm shite at climbing, but I'm sure I can wriggle under. This mission sounds daring and exciting...I like it. I imagine the security isn't too strict, but I wouldnt know really.
Theres going to be fuck loads of us just suddenly appearing in the festival...those poor security guys won't know whats hit them!
    Also, lift? Moonie??? P-p-p-pwease ;)

yea.. think i might do the same, buy a saturday and sunday ticket... i might also just try and jump the fence for the fun of it though :p

If i carnt sneak into the camping area and hide in someone's tent then i'll just sleep in my car for a couple of hours.....but hopefully jonny might be a steward there, so he can 'escort' us to the camping area's and let us in. but if not then your all welcome to grab a seat in my car :)

I s'pose i could squeeze you in my car rosie... only just though.... hehe.. i'll save you a seat dont worry :) ... you just got to worry about Claires driving thats all :p

    Wow, Starfly, you rule.
Think I'm just gonna buy two tickets and then see what happens!
Steve and Claire, both of you sound like scary drivers from what I've heard. Though to be honest, Steve didn't seem like a bad driver at all when I was in the car, but I think I'll just have to make sure my seat belt is secure and close my eyes for the whole journey!

After reading this thread i am a bit worried that loads of you are gonna come to the festival and balls it up for everyone else... The bottom line is if people try and get into the festival or camping without a ticket they will be given a hard time and if it gets out of control then that will it, NO MORE BEAUTIFUL DAYS, It is as much your festival as ours.

and about the live in veichles - this has nothing to do conveys or travellers etc, the planning authorities are working off some 1960's law which limits 75 campers/caravans to a hectare, we haven't got the space to do it. maybe next year!!!!

There might be extra field for camping but this wont be known until the beginning of August, shall inform you if and when information available..

I have to agree with Gill really, people jumped the fence at Glasto for years, and now look at it, twice the price and a bloody great Berlin wall just to keep it going. Beautiful Days is an amazing festival for those of you who haven't been yet, don't jump the fence and piss it away. I wouldn't worry though Gill, these are cool people and won't balls anything up. Mind you, if you want to discourage fence jumpers, lower the price! I wasn't happy to see it go up by a tenner this year, it's getting almost as bad as the big festivals. Whatever happened to the free festivals? Bring 'em back!

If anyone hasn't got a ticket and wants one, I may not be able to go this year and may be selling mine. Give me a PM if you're interested and let me know. I'll just sell it for the price I paid for it. Since Jonny's got his stewarding job he should be selling his too I think....

You could compare it to the Isle of Wight festival 1970 where anarchists ruined the whole event by imposing their doctrine that everything should be free, and brought down the fence themselves... although you don't exactly have Jimi Hendrix and the Who playing at Beautiful Days so I can't really see hundreds of fence-jumpers turning up! Hopefully Gill is worrying about nothing, but I'm not certain.

It does seem a tad expensive, but without knowing what the outlay is and how much profit is being made it's difficult to judge whether it's overpriced or not. Certainly no-one here has any intention of ballsing the thing up for others, it seems like a victimless crime and somehow in the spirit of the event - I might be talking out of my arse there. Many people say that in the case of Glastonbury, the Israeli-style Security Fence and overpriced tickets have sucked much of the life out of the festival... I can't see how a few tens of interlopers would ruin an event like BD.

But anyway, I'm certainly having second thoughts.

well, i've taken out that ordinance survey map with a guide so its not available to any ol' wanna freebie.
if people have bought a day ticket and want shelter in our camp then that seems a better way.

christ sal .. glastonbury isnt expensive if you think about it. and the wall goes up because its the worlds biggest festival of its kind. You should be thankful that is here in this country and not a thousand miles from you.

I WISH EVERYONE WOULD STOP COMPLAINING ALL THE TIME ABOUT THIS.

If you want free festivals then look dig around they are there .

and if you can afford to pay at the beautiful days festival then you SHOULD pay people put a lot of work into these things.

and posting maps and things on the net for ways to sneak in and shouting off about who is going in etc on the net isnt the best thing to do guys

    Cheers guys!!!!!

Do you really think that £60 is to expensive for the festival??? (or maybe more depending on when you brought it) i do think it is one of the cheapest and best festivals around and we r all getting value for money here.... i think the line at Beautiful days is ten times better then Glastonbury or Reading/Leeds and for half the price.
