So you do have a lot of respect for those insane murderous assholes that behead innocent people they capture? I believe those assholes are what the west calls "terrorists". I do not believe that in any army of the world you will find men or women who will question the right of their officer to send them into battle. That after all is what they signed up to do.
I dont know why you spam this board with your arrogant nonsense you pontificate over the lives and deaths of people that you understand nothing of. You talk about war and people dying like it gives you an excuse to promote more of it. Your attitude stinks, and its only a pity you are not the real cat stevens since he at least had a humble reasoning power that made him a real ambassador of his faith. You by comparison are some dirty scumbag warmonger who revells in the misery of death to promote their own feeble politics
To be honest I have little time for the armed forces of any country but at least those soldiers are a lot braver than some idiot in a forum cutting and pasting from a text he hasnt the brain power to write himself, nor the simple ability to respect the fact that he blabs his mouth off concerning a situation he knows very little about.

 

Sometimes I feel the bravest are those that go awol, because they can no longer follow those orders. But now, they would be the ones spit on if they tried to return, and of course they can't because they would face a military tribunal.

 

They are the true heros for me. Those that risk their futures to say no more!

 

I never used to think so. I had a lot of time for the idea of stopping the war at one point, but the more people like this idiot Cat Stevens posts this utter stupidity, and the more the followers of the islamic faith perpertrate revenge against the west, well the more I couldnt give a toss whether the middle east is bombed into the stone age. And that is coming from someone who at one point virtually hounded several members of his family and many friends to travel a hundred miles to go march through london in the peace protests. I have a very different attitude now, obviously.

 

Killing all those that disagree with you solves nothing, swaying those same people to your viewpoint would mean a whole lot more than the destruction of innocent lives.

On both sides we have people in power that don't care about the lives of the little person, they are calculated as non-essentials. It's time the little man stood up and said you can't do this without me, and I won't be a part of it any longer. Think the suits and ties would fight the wars out one on one. It would be fun to watch, but they'd back off and come up with another solution if they no longer had cannon fodder to feed to each other.

Why can't another corporate force such as those that serve the public good (not that I am aware of any) become more important than the military industrial complex. Can they carry out a war without the ordinary serviceman, I don't think so. It's time to tell the elite there's something more important than padding their portfolios.
