Since I'm still in school I see this with the administrators and students.. The most controversial piece of clothing are yoga pants. I personally like wearing them, they are comfortable and if worn right they don't look provocative at all. Regardless of how they look on you the teachers and principals will make countless girls change every week because they think the pants are distracting to the poor young men. It's not a girl's job to control other's sex drive, I think outlawing tight fitting clothing in the workplace/school is too far. I understand some clothing isn't appropriate, but things like tight jeans or yoga pants should be acceptable
Agreed. The whole concept of banning "hot" (let that mean whatever adjective you want to use) clothing, which is 99.999% of the time directed at women, is part and parcel of the culture that blames rape victims for being victimized, rather than the rapists for doing the raping.
It's a shame to get rid of a whole wardrobe of clothes; or to have to have two wardrobes of clothes for work and outside of work. You could add a few long skirts with your leggings and some loose blazers/jackets with your tops. Just get some loose stuff to conceal the tight areas a little.
people can be stupid.. wear whatever you feel comfortable in. tight, lose, big, whatever.. don't let people change you.
