burton didnt do "whats eating gilbert grape?" I like most tim burton films, but i just never really liked mars attacks.
planet of the apes isnt as bad as you think it would be.... I was doubtful when I first saw it, because I had seen the original. tim burton does not make it a remake.... its quite different than the original one, and has more surprises.
I still haven't seen Planet Of The Apes... I'll have to see it someday! I'm kinda apprehensive tho...
planet of the apes sucks....how can tim burton disgrace himself and the original by making that crap? tell me that!
i love you. tim burton is good, but he IS totally overrated. he isnt a genius, just because you like his films doesnt make him a genius. and please, all you people who havent seen planet of the apes, go and see it. it will heal your perceptions when you realise that no one who is actually a genius could make such a fucking atrocious film.
i guess its all down to the beholder, personally i think its unfair to rate somebody on one bad film, it isnt even as bad as you're all making out, granted its not as good as expected but come on even kubrick's 'eyes wide shut' was a bit gash, and he, i think we can all agree, was a genius. A nightmare before christmas is amazing, i watched that film on mushrooms and ended up sitting upside down with laughter/fear. No matter how bad 'planet of the apes' is, there will always be his other films to back up his reputation, Here's a small collection of animations by the man http://www.atomfilms.com/af/spotlight/series/stainboy/ not his best work to date, but good for a giggle.
