This is totally superstitious and speculative but its in my head so ill say it, Its almost as if a part of our consciousness that was used to recognize terrestrial lifeforms aiding and effecting our surrounding terrestrial enviornments in the past now has a void since we don't have those creatures, except for a few domestic animals we dragged along. So now we need to fill that void by creating synthetic lifeforms to effect our synthetic enviornment.
Hmm, I can see that. Also it makes sense for us to be wary of these "synthetic lifeforms" on some level, since it's part of our instinct to be afraid of potential predators and/or competition. But that won't prevent us from creating them!
thank you for saying that, I was starting to feel like I was the only one thats absolutely freaked out by the idea of the singularity. I mean, implanting human consciousness into machines? WTF? Are we in the matrix? I'm a couple of drinks deep right now so excuse my lack of intelligient logic in this post.
Haha...it's definitely a bit scary how unpredictable it all is. I try to be as optimistic as possible, but if I had a choice I would return to simpler times in a heartbeat.
What worries me is the support calls to my isp. For heaven sake they employ retards with an iq way below that of any of the customers they deal with. Thats my isp. You imagine their technical staff would be putting together networks far too complex for mortals to understand, but nope I have a full understanding of all the infrastructure of my isp. Its old, its crap and its crap. Oh I said its crap twice, thats because its crap. Until my isp can deliver a service that isnt oversubscribed, delivers the bandwidth they say they can give and actually listen to their customers I cant believe the singularity will occur within 35 years
7he stuff you call natural how did it get here who designed/created it and with what TECHNOLOGY ? how then can you call any lifeform synthetic when father technology played an integral role in mother nature your head is divided against itself ? the singularity is the big bang oneness
