that was pretty interesting. i might read Prometheus Rising, i definitely would if i had more time. it'd be sweet if the book could teach me that...how to create more time. it shouldn't be THAT hard.

So stalk do you believe in the eight levels of conciousness?

Seems to make alot of sense.. I'm definitely gonna pick up prometheus rising and some books by Leary.

Well, there seem to be infinite levels
but the 8 circuits make a lot of sense.
I need to read it again.

I think the 8 circuits of consciousness model is pretty revolutionary but still falls short in many ways. Eg, the left-right dichotomy is completely innacurate. The assumption that these circuits just evolved one after another in such an order is also rather baseless. The separation of directions into the circuits (eg forward back left right up down...) the allocation of drugs to differnet circuits (obviously he was trying to get popularity), and then all the implications of directed evolution (or seeded evolution) which implies various things about mans place int ehw orld.

A part of the brain evolved for space travel? that just seems ridiculous

But it is still a good breakdown of certain functions of the brain

when cross referenced with chakras, the 8 circuit model really isn't that big of an advent. It's more of just a different metaphor describing the same thing.

    look at this here
