Sorry maybe my writing was rushed ill lay out a IDEA, not set in stone

2008 Apr. 1st too 2009 Apr 1st
750 a month: this is the first year saving time 9000 per person
(we could make it less, but i really dont want money too be a issue
any extra, can gain interest) this equals 90000 start up.
I belive this is more then needed, but like i said, more is better
and the left over can be put towards the next yrs payments,
or the group can take a vote on upgrades we would like too buy, or both.

The next year the only money needed from people would be
for supplies, rent payments, upkeep ect ect....
This should make it easy for people returning from Ak
too save money over the winter, and not have too grind
too save money like the first year....
I would say 200 per month Give or take in this time frame
should be fine. Remeber that all items minus the land is paid in full.
The land payment will only be 450-500 per month divided buy 10
per month. So the rent is not too much. We could vote on paying off loan
if there is enough money but i dont want too leave the bank with 00000
and have to ask people for more money in the winter. The whole idea
is too put in one hard yr of work, save the 750 per month, then reap the rewards for yrs too come. With very little extra money needed during the winter months. Anyone can offerd 200 a month, which equals 6 months 1200 x10 12000 for the next years supplys ect as stated above. This might need too be raised some depending on the amount of money left over from the first year, buying all the stuff, stocking, unexpected expence ect ect. i would hope the account would show 30000 after all was purchased ect....
that leaves a nice buffer zone for anything needed wanted.....
i dont want too have people feeling poor, up there. If the group wants too have something then we get it, if the group wants too imporve something we do it. While always trying too keep a 30k buffer in the acct. people will be warm, clean, fed very well, and happy for the 6 months. And much fun too have. want too buy some sea kayaks, and sail over too see glacers, cool
(matter of fact i can build them) Want too in the next year extend into the winter some, and buy a snow mobile, cool (not sure what the area is like for that, i know the snow is DEEP, but the moutains are steep too, so might not be able too do that. But its a example. My point is, im not going too break my tail for 1 yr too go there and be miserable! im going too have a ball for 6 months, and yern for spring to go again. the numbers sound high too alot of people, "no way we can get 90k in one yr" well thats 750 a month
for 12 months 10 people.......when i was working on the boat up north
for the race i paid 1300 a month for the couple months i was there.......So anyone that cant figure a way too save 750 a month, is lazy. Hope that clears it up, i was thinking while typing
not a good idea. but 90k with 10 people, land in a unreal area, wake up and
see orcas yep, dolphins yep, bears yep, (mostly blk in this area)
glaciors crashing into the water, kayaking through them yep....
Dropping shrimp pots yep, Exploring dence rain forest, with moss
over ft' thick yep, water blue and clear yep, i could go on.
but what one needs too ask themself is this, do i have the drive, and ability
too figure a way too save 750 per month too be a owner of this little part of paradise? if you answer yes too this question, then the chance is right here!

 

Depends the guy has 4,
the one i like is on a point, the bank is sand (small pebbles ect)
And slopes up prob 200 ft then levils off some. The land is
pretty levil but not flood plain level.....
The stream runs year around, and friend of friend said
it is a mile too a waterfall, he hasnet gone past that, fish
(silvers) spwan up this thing. No problems with people
above this land there are no sites! And about a mile or less
back jumps up like a wall! The land is land locked buy forest land!
So no building, the lot next door is only lot 1.5 and the guy
is said too build on it (limited use) in 5 yrs. Thats why nothing
can go on this land that would effect/piss off our friend next door.
if a cabin is built its going too be nice ect ect, no shacks ect ect.

the water would come from creek, and a GOOD commercial use
purifier would be used before storing water.

If this stream flows enough (i assume my friends friend is not a lier,
but can be checked easy enough) then we could even install
a water generator. i wont go into details on this, but people
interested can study off grid housing for a start.....

If the water close too the bay is tainted, well have too walk up
too get it. It flows good, i doubt the water is too salty
200 yards up stream or sooo....but depends on how the tides hit that discharge area i guess.

oh and incidentally, a 200 foot elevation change in 100 yards or so (which is about how far it would be if the beach is 200 foot wide to the back of the property)is damn near cliff side,, so the land sounds pretty much worthless IMHO...

Those numbers might be a wrong guess, the land is not cliff side
it rolls up nice, look at pic i posted you can see the land slopes
in differant area's. The land is far from usless, matter of fact the land
Is super rare on the market.....

seen the area. All these areas +++++MANY MORE will be easy too get too
via the Flicka. (this boat can sail with 5-6 but overnighting will be limited too
3-4. So people would have too take turns watching camp/cruising on over nighters. but thats do'able i think.

hell even some of the summer in alaska is too cold for me, i wintered one year in prince george bc about 10 hrs south of yukon ( that would be next to alaska)

and I froze my ass off...minus 50 celcius...shit thats in november....

I find it great that blinkin, freeinalaska, and HHB have all contributed to this thread... basically the most solid group of people on here that would actually be able to do something like this; both from a financial and personal experience standpoint. They've all been met with attitude...

This site is literally chock full of people just like you brass: all the ideas and dreams in the world, no hope of ever getting their shit together to do it. It's the god damn Christopher McCandless disease. If you're not careful up there in the bush you'll meet the same fate. Then again, you'll have neighbors, so no worries.
