A rabbit of mine broke its leg one evening after getting it caught inbetween the wires of its cage. I was cleaning the pen and it jumped on the roof of it. Its leg slid through and snapped. The vet told me I had two options. Pay $3000 to fix the leg, or pay $60 to put the rabbit to "sleep". I asked her straight out if anyone has ever payed $3000 to fix the broken leg of a rabbit that had a life expectancy of 2-3 years max. She told me, "no".

I buried it out in the country under a tree.
