Well, post some facts then? http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articl..._pope_keep_quiet_about_the_holocaust?page=0,0
Even granting the benefit of hindsight, Hitler's motives were pretty clear for years beofre September 1, 1939.....the Sudeten controversy, Czech takeover, Slovak capitulation, the whole lebensraum thing, re-armament, the request for a dual highway through Poland, the demands for the "return" of Danzig.....this all happened at least 6 months before, and in some instances years before, Sept 1 Chamberlain could have stopped him earlier-ideally in 1936 or 1937- but was focussed on preventing war. It's easy to criticise him for that, but we weren't there. Ditto the French. The Russians were just trying to stay out of trouble, and heaven only knew what Il Duce was up to, running around in North Africa. I was raised a Catholic, but I have no religious beliefs. I'm tremendously cynical about religions. However it's pretty harsh on the Pope when, as I have said, the Great Powers of Europe didn't do anything to stop the Fuhrer, the League of Nations was ineffective and Hitler didn't rely on religion to accomplish his goals.
