todays highlight is...

I am still breathing

 

So far, the higlight of my day is taking a long hot shower and learning about and wearing longjohns. Cuz its like negative zero below outside and I gotta work in it.

so what's it like being acquaintances with the best boyfriend ever? seems like it would be depressing, like he's flaunting his great boyfriendness in front of you. don't worry though, eventually you'll have a pretty good boyfriend too.

I should of got my bare feet in the yellow paint, got on a high lift and put feet prints on the ceiling.. but I didnt.. I thought about it though... high enough for me.

The highlight of today was that I told my family i loved them except my little brother. He looked at me with his puppy eyes, and i stared at him intensely then smiled and said,
"I love you..."
"Aw, i love you to--"
"...-r potatoes."
"... ._."

It was funny.

I bought some shelves and assembled them so now my new shed is pretty well done....just a few more tools need to get sorted and placed

Well September 24th I was sleeping at LAX right before the flight to Phnom Penh to start a big backpaking tour of South Asia; I got pickpoketed, and had to decide whether to get aboard the flight with $50 I had tucked away in my boot.

So I canceled my bank card and hoped aboard. I knew I had to find work right away, so I payed my Visa fee ($20) and got on a bus to Sihanukville where I heard there was work at beach bars.

So with $25 to my name and half way across the world from home, I slept at a bungalow, then asked on the beach. Third place I asked had work. A little beach bar called the Ling Ming. Free room, free food, free beer.

The manager of that place was a puppy kicking dick, so I started working for a new bar called the CUB. Same deal, but I wasn't working for a nice Khmer lady.

The Khmer lady was manager of Purapool in Sihanuokville. A pool company that builds copper ion filtered pools in Cambodia and Thailand. She was doing her job poorly...

Now I'm managing director of both locations in Cambodia, Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville. I live in Cambodia, and my company's expanding into Vietnam soon. The guy in the Photo with me is my Khmer business partner, Ny Khorn.

yesterday was modifying a computer sim model of the darjeeling himalian railway. the day before that was completing one of my scratch build On30 freight cars. one of the ones of my own design.

I just found fifty cents in the pocket of a jacket that I haven't worn in ten years because I was too fat to fit in it.:sunny:

A twenty dollar bill would have been better, but still; I did lose thirty pounds in the last year.

 

My highlight today has been learning a new song on the guitar, not too difficult but it's fun to play.

 

My neighbour shoveled the shared driveway this morning.

Now I just need to pull myself together to go the grocery store. And clean off the car. Wish me luck.
