Ahhhhhh, it's never gonna happen, no matter who's in the white house, otherwise it would have been over and done with by now.

Also for sounding like you're wanting another civil war here!

Oh, and you forgot to mention building high walls on our borders for keeping them out and especially for easily hidden parts to build them with.

I mean, have we stopped the flow of drugs coming in as yet with whomever has been in the white house or are all them being home grown now?

Insanity rules and perhaps some future generation ( if there actually is one) will be more rational than its predecessors. Not likely because human society is too far gone and anaestesized by dumb ass smart tech, mass consumerism, global corporate greed and of course the obvious signs of de-evolution as our tech does everything fir us and against us.We are making ourselves redundant and queuing up for the privilege of giving money for faster and faster obsolesence. Guns we will always have in abundance and pointed at our own heads The truth is if everyone around me had a gun I might have to consider joining the knuckle dragging jamboree.

That's the other thing I have a lot of difficulty in understanding and that's the need for joining a political party, so as to have others telling you how to think, do and vote!
And shame on you if you should ever go against their will in any way, shape or form, no matter how wrong they might be.
But are they ever wrong in the eyes of these beholders? NO and never for the faithful and dedicated!

Two firefighters were shot dead by a gunman while responding to a brush fire in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

    MSN

Firefighters risk their lives to save the lives of other people, mainly strangers, and it is unfortunate to read that some mentally ill person or sadist have shot them.

Another reason more for US to regulate its weapons accessibility for its citizens, and invest heavily in a good mental healthcare ecosystem that is unfortunately lacking at the moment.

Also important to create a culture of non-violence and peace, which are necessary conditions for love, harmony, mental health and personal well-being to flourish.

I haven't noticed that. Of course others in both parties are always trying to tell me how to think. I listen and go by what I think. Belonging to a party in my (closed primary) state entitles me to vote for candidates in my party. Independents have to wait it out until the general election.

Political parties are formed to organize voters for certain purposes.
They do this by presenting a platform, or a set of goals that they derive from their members and from the public at large.
This platform is then presented to the public and individuals are then free to agree or disagree with that platform.

You are perfectly free to "go against their will in any way, shape or form", by simply not joining that party, not voting for its selected candidates, or by joining the party and reforming it, or its platform from within.

Without political parties candidates for office would not have much access to the public.

What you're saying is true, but most don't do that. They do as they're party says and for like they aren't capable of thinking for themselves and for maybe why many more vote with who their pastor says on Sunday.
George Washington did OK as as independent and I'm sticking with him.
