Awesome swingng stone weather forecaster there @Boozercruiser - I see it's windy there! @Candy Gal Gibraltar sounds as if it is a special place in your heart! @Grandeur you have great weather! @Noserider I love living in the desert actually... But today I am struggling with BAD AIR. All the way from Mexico City, it's not predicted to leave the area for days. I am not sure if this SO2 is from the volcano or from power plants burning the notoriously dirty Mexican crude oil. It got in the house over night, major headache and it smells like a diesel truck is idling in the yard - which it isn't... The yellow layer is the SO2, where it gets brown it is in ultra high concentrations. The volcano on Hawaii big island must be responsible for the air in the mid-Pacific which is really dense with SO2 (Sulfur Dioxide).
I always liked that song, but never knew it was from a Gibraltarian. I remember hearing it on AM radio way back when!
Most believe he was Spanish. Nope born in Gibraltar. Mostly in America now. He wrote songs for many. Google is your friend.
@Candy Gal I read his bio on Wikipedia which is my go-to source. I love it. He did write many hits over the years! And his son is out there performing as well I read.
I am so sorry to hear about your 'Bad Air’ where you are Zen, and it seems everyone has some cross to bare one way and another now , more than ever. From tomorrow parts of the UK are more or less going into Covid19 Lock Down tomorrow, including here in North Wales. One way and another these are very demanding and worrying times the like of which I have never known. ... Good late evening weather watchers from Colwyn Bay here in North Wales UK. Dark and dank and cold outside, but I have our heating on 23c so no worries inside! Live CCTV Cameras located outside our patio door are below. It is crawling with mosquitos inside home. They don't even let me finish watching a movie. They are flying right towards my face. What is great about it? We are in October but still having summer weather. That is far from being great. Summer sucks with all kinds of insects around. Butter flies, mosquitos, green insects... they are all flying inside home. Why? Because it is summer here. Is it really as great as you think it is? We bear it in summer but do we have to keep bearing it in October or November as if they were also summer months? To hell with this weather. I cannot bear mosquitos and other insects at this time of year. The weather should stop being a summer weather so that they can disappear.
And I already mentioned I am a winter person who enjoys well below zero temperatures by going to Eastern Turkey in winter. However, last winter I didn't go because I feel too depressed that I don't wanna do anything. Everything is meaningless. I am bored of meaningless life. And weather cannot be the only reason to keep living. That ain't enough.
@Grandeur I did not know about the bugs inside your house. Sorry to hear that. I hate the little pests myself, here in the desert we don't see many bugs except the ones that crawl... like scorpions, centipedes, cockroaches, ants, spiders, etc. I have lived where there were many mosquitoes, it is not healthy. Now I understand why you love winter so much!

@Boozercruiser, cirrusly? Rain. Again. Are you building an ark? @Candy Gal I was just thinking of the Carpenters, and how sad it is without Karen singing to us. @Grandeur I am sorry I have forgotten the name of the town you send the weather reports from, do you mind mentioning it in your report? And when do you expect cooler weather to head your way? Good morning World!
Mr Lynch seems a tad depressed this morning, I understand. He has found the entrance to Heartbreak Hotel... don't go inside Mr Lynch!
