    End: Saturday, January 15, 12:00 PM EST

    WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM FRIDAY TO NOON EST SATURDAY...

    WHAT    ...Very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills between 15 and 20 below zero.
    WHERE    ...Portions of northern Connecticut, eastern, northeastern and southeastern Massachusetts and northern Rhode Island.
    WHEN...From 7 PM Friday to noon EST Saturday.
    IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

    Winter...

    Love it or hate it, it exists.

    So I would be breaking out the sweater for indoors, stoking the fire up and making tea :) I'd be staying indoors also!

    Tuesday was in the teens all day and night. Tonight will be in the teens. I haven't driven my car all week and it's been parked in the garage nice and warm :)

    Definitely is! It gets washed every 2 weeks unless it snows. I can't stand a salt cover car let alone a dirty car.

    Here is something from just this morning, shows the volcano in the Galapagos and the recent overnight eruption in Tonga which caused a tsunami locally.

    I have learned since that Mexico is a major polluter of SO2 with the crappy grade oil they use. The oil in this area is heavily laced with sulfur compounds and not removed in the refining process. Large parts of our SO2 pollution comes from Mexico City...

    I remember all too well waiting for the bus in weather like that when in High School in Connecticutt. Brrrrrr! It was 35 below zero one night! That's the coldest I remember.

    And here in La Paz, our dirty little secret is there in the air today. Cars, diesel, and a large power plant all add up to nasty air when the winds are light.

    Sure it is beautiful, if you don't mind choking on the fumes... I live on the west end which is way better and not so crowded as the tourist center.
