As forecast, the March sun was able to penetrate the cloud deck leaving 3 inches of snow on mostly grass surfaces, cars, and decks, but not on the streets or sidewalks. “Winter farewell, winter farewell, and away you go and trouble us no more.” ― Henry Beston,
I enjoy the winter the white snow so bright like a covering of light ..each snowflake unique ..also a bird cannot even walk across the snow without leaving a track so great security system as well ..lots of fun can happen in snow too
Brilliant sunshine! I love that, but the cars on the other side of the road just baffle me. When I was driving around Britain I thought my left arm would fall off from all the gear shifting... one gets used to what one does on a daily basis I suppose. I DID learn to drive on the left hand side of the road... in the Virgin Islands as a teenager. But bafflingly enough the cars all came from the States with left-hand drive... so I had two challenges right from the start. Now I have driven cars and trucks on all continents of the world except for Antarctica, which I am avoiding for ecological reasons.
Well yesterday's snow is slowing disappearing. @ 41 F. Hopefully Saturdays forecast of 12 plus inches of snow will not be too bad. One can only hope.

In 1955 my Dad was rushing Mom to the hospital as she was giving birth to one of my sisters... damned black ice... he flipped the Studebaker and skidded down the road aways... but all survived and here we are today... but that black ice can be a killer!
Sadly a number of people didn't heed the advice of the national weather service and either spun out or ended up in an embankment But there was one story with a happy ending.

Beautiful sunset yesterday and looks like a beautiful day today ..I found a sandcastle at the beach earlier and this was sort of weird as usually it is a full size huge flag while this station was flying a tiny flag also I am sure they will put full size flag again ...this a humble moment

Today in La Paz... A nice day is happening here! As usual, it will be low tide by the time I get out to the beach later today Oy vey! All of a sudden we now have five big oil and propane gas tankers out there... Cabo and all those hotels will need lots of extra power for all the Spring Breakers arriving.
Baffling to me is that Mexico is welcoming Russians! They are allowing Russian planes and yachts safe haven here...and being welcomed in the local press...it is ALWAYS all about the money... Los Cabos, Baja California Sur (BCS). After the war that is currently taking place between Russia and Ukraine, various citizens of these nationalities see Los Cabos as an ideal place to take refuge, to the point that they are acquiring properties in the municipality. "We already have a record of approximately 15 to 20 people with Russian nationality, many come from other countries from which they were expelled and are acquiring properties here in the municipality of Los Cabos," said Los Cabos Tourism Director Donna Jeffries. During the interview conducted by Milenio , the official also announced that this type of person is welcome, since it benefits the municipality by having a high purchasing power. “All people who want to come here to Los Cabos are welcome, we are not the one to say no, and we, because we are oblivious to the problems they may have politically ,” said Donna Jeffries. In addition to this, he announced that 42,000 spring breakers are expected this holiday and that hotel occupancy is currently at 97%, and is expected to increase, thanks to the 200 cruise ships that will arrive throughout 2022. It is worth mentioning that, at the beginning of March, the boat La Datcha, owned by the Russian Oleg Tinkov , who owns the Authentic Luxory La Datcha hotel in Cabo San Lucas, was spotted in the waters of Los Cabos.
Another thing... A russian owned yacht has run aground on a reef in the Maritime National Park by Loreto... causing much damage to the coral. Been there for four days as they try to get it off the reef without spilling all that oil onboard. Of course the VIP guests on board were helicoptered out of there immediately, leaving a mess behind.
