Sounds a bit cold and windy up there in Northern Wales and Scotland! Hang in there kids! Here in La Paz, BCS, MX it was a lovely cool evening and the temperature dropped to a nice 78 degrees F overnight. I am sure it will be sunny and hot here again today. Too soon for Fall in Baja Sur. La Ventana has the most amazing beach for Kiteboarding! I have seen up to 50 or more sailing around there on a typically windy day.
I wanted to show you the scene people are dealing with just north of Los Angeles now. The Bobcat Fire is slowly approaching the homes of many friends. I know we have site members in that area also. Stay safe! Get your car packed and ready to flee, don't wait to be prepared! A home burning last night in Antelope Valley.
That is so awful Zen and perhaps that those of us who are fortunate not to have those horrors should count our blessings
The weather here in Colwyn Bay North Wales was awful earlier with wind and rain. Then it calmed down and at the moment it is sunny though 12c, but nice for a walk. Took these two photos.
Yes Zen it has been a rather odd day. Poured down this morning and it felt really cold with a strong wind and 12c. But we had to go shopping and when we got back I said to Wifey. That’s it time not going out today anymore and thought that was it. Then in the afternoon the Sun came out as the rain cleared and even at 13c it felt very pleasant as I checked in the garden. So we went back out knowing it was high tide and got a lovely promenade walk in. Not many people about either which was very nice! --- Posting this at 19.05 UK time so cameras are still in the light! @Boozercruiser, what happened to your garden voyeur stalker person? Did you manage to scare him away?
Blimey Zen! You have really surprised me asking that particular question! There is nothing wrong with your memory, and this shows that you are really interested in your members! Yes it is a long story since I was on here saying about that, but I have put that guy right back in his box and he doesn’t bother us anymore! The Police told him to stop or he would be done for harassment. I now have the above photo in our front window. He has to pass that every time he enters the apartments! I am happy you dealt with that politely. The man was booring, leering at your garden. At first I thought, just an admirer, but then again people are nutty. They have a saying that all the nuts run downhill to California. But that could be said about just anywhere... You have a very nice place there sir!
Good Morning Weather Watchers. Just a quick clear up in respect of your comments there Zen. If that guy was just an admirer looking over the garden wall admiring the garden, as most of us do, then that wouldn't be a problem. But for almost 5 years of us living here he was Director of our Lease Management, and any breach of the lease would be serious for us. This even though we own this property outright. Taking photographs and continually spying on us he complained about the height of our hedge (too high) our CCTV cameras which he said we couldn't have, what we had in the garden (said there was too much in it) and I could go on but you get the grift! If you look at the CCTV cameras and particularly the front car park just over the wall there with 3 cars in it. The middle car parking space with the black 4X4 in it is his, and the one next door to it on the right is ours. If you were to see him either going to his car or coming out of his car he never looks over into our garden now at all. Whereas before he would always be looking in and possibly taking photographs so as to complain and threaten us with court action. Nobody really knows the half of it Zen, but I feel it is finally over and the bigger they are, the harder they fall. Now he is no longer The Director, he is now not even on the Management Committee and his apartment is on sale for £325,000. So scuttling off in shame really as his so called esteem here has gone awol! Just an additional bit about this bloke. In his working life he was a big shot CEO Director of a big oil company out in Abu Dhabi so he was used to people doing as they are told. In my Working life for 30 years of it I was Works Union Convener of 2 large engineering factories. Bound to clash! But the Union WON! ------ Good Morning Everybody. Only 11c but cloudy/sunny here this morning in Colwyn Bay North Wales UK. Live CCTV Camera footage below and weather forecast below that. Now you can't say I am not looking after you in respect of weather and information now. Can you? Very nice and sunny in the North West . But with the temperature struggling to reach 12 its winter woolies and granny thermals weather .
Tell me about it Mysteron. This sure is a shock to the nervous system. And now with what looks like a 6 month lock down because of Covid19, and including Christmas coming things are not looking good. I am starting to feel depressed. Yikes! Can anybody help me?
That's the problem with these lockdowns . They do affect peoples mental health . The powers that be ,kind of acknowledge that but then just leave it there and offer no support . With my depression , the Lockdown that started in March was the straw that broke the camels back . Whilst at the moment I am free of depression , I feel its only fragile and I can easily be tipped over again .At the moment my own town is totally locked down as regards pubs and restaurants. Therefore, for my mental well being and I also only drink cask ale , my local is now in a neighbouring town . The local lockdown was caused by one selfish individual coming back from Ibiza and instead of quarantining as he was requested to do, he went out and infected the town . He got a £1000.00 fine, wuppy do , but nobody affected is going to see any benefit of that .
