And "a lot" is two words. At any rate, people would still be killing each other, only it would be even slower and more painful. So really guns are humane... Like the guillotine!
The majority of Conscientious Objectors accepted induction into the military, were assigned non-combat duties (rear jobs) such as clerks, religious dutes (the Chaplin service within the military), but the vast majority of us served in the military's MEDICAL CORPS. Which unfortunately, placed many of us in harm's way, when we became medic,s on the battlefield's of Vietnam. By resisting the "draft" as conscientious objectors..the army had more than enough jobs (MOS's-Military Occupational Specialties) for us to maintain our beliefs of not harm human beings, while still serving the country. Consequently, many conscientious objectors were looked upon as draft evaders. Sooo- because I was against guns ,and against killing- in their infinite wisdom the Army sent me to Fort SamHouston , Texas for "medic training"- Medic,s,except for a side arm werent allowed to even carry a weapon.- but, you sure see the damage that they inflict - - Without getting into a long story- -I gotta say, to answer the original question- -guns have there place, Ive seen my share of them, -but would never own one, I never even bought toy ones for the kids when they were growing up. Its in the constitution as your right to bear arms- - but when that was written, we were talking about muskets- not the weapons of today. Gun control has to be re-visited. As powerful as the NRA is I doubt much progress will be made, but except for survival I just dont see the point in them jjack
I'm sure when the bill of rights was drafted, they took into account there would be technological advancements in weapons. I can think of plenty scenarios where a citizen may need a gun in order to protect his life or property. I won't get into it, I'll just say I exercise my 2nd amendment rights, and won't stop doing so even if some politician 'revisits' the issue.. also if zombies come, you will die a lot faster than me
True we gun owners will live longer than those pussies; but even we will eventually succumb to the zombie hoard Hotwater
''The Great Lost Bear'' ...?? I do not support animal hunting for simply severing a prize. Hunters' should attach their adrenaline urges to recreational paintball parks. Let's see if those assholes could keep up...:reddevil::reddevil::reddevil:
sounds like a restaurant... not really the same thing. that said, i'm also against hunting purely for the trophy, although i suppose you could consider a winter's supply of deer meat to be a "prize" as well, and i have no problem with that.
hah kind of...probably How is it the same thing, man? No one dies, except for your pride. haha It's a great shame. Yeah dude, I agree, what you respectfully kill is what you eat.
hunting and paintball are not the same thing. really, the only thing they have in common is that they both involve shooting at something, and they're both probably done outside. the whole dynamic is different between chasing down a group of people who are also trying to shoot you, and silently creeping alone through the woods or sitting silently on a stand, waiting to come across an animal that is literally running for its life the second it realizes you're there. all i'm really saying is that most avid hunters would probably not find paintball to be a fulfilling substitute.
True..hmm..It's still a substitute though. I'm sure if enough people wanted to create a new game type were it only involves a few people hunting/playing each other in a large arena. Somehow it would satisfy a number of hunters..?
