baking soda is just sodium bicarbonate (or bicarbonate of soda as it is sometimes called....NaHCO3 - i think)
here in the states we can find it at the grocery store or pharmacy
have you asked around? you could order some online from www.mountainroseherbs.com that's the same company i told you about for the beeswax & i know they ship internationally
wonder how much it would cost me to ship to you????
can't you tell i'm worrying about your teethies ;)

oh yeah...sure! ;)
no i'm just kidding you sister....just looking out for the health of those toothies!
now that you know what baking soda is, you can try out the recipes. you can brush with baking soda alone, but i find it a bit too abrasive & soooo salty
keep me posted on your experiments, ok sweetie

flouride is leftover radioactive waste/"byproducts of aluminum and fertilizer manufacturing and contain a high concentration of toxins and heavy metals such as arsenic, lead and chromium. All proven to be carcinogens" that the vested interests had to find a way to dispose of cheaply and effectivley so continue to thwart their peperation of nucleur energy and agribusiness which is really the greatest menace to our times.
we have been deceived to accept this joke! flouride and the harsh surfacants and deadly sweeteners are common in Every mainstream variety. Do you really think dentists want your teath to be perfect and healty and lose their clientelle?

Fluoride - Should We Be Drinking This? An EPA study links fluoride to Attention Deficit Disorder and lead poisoning

By Jane Louise Boursaw

You come in from working outside and pour yourself a glass of refreshing, ice-cold water. But what if it was contaminated with a hazardous waste product of the aluminum, uranium, and phosphate fertilizer industry? Guess what? It is. It's called silicofluoride, a highly-toxic chemical added to over 90 percent of America's drinking water, according to a recent study, funded in part by the Environmental Protection Agency.

UNTESTED TOXIC

For years, dentists have touted the benefits of fluoride, claiming it helps prevent tooth decay. [IMG]And that may be true with regard to "sodium" fluoride. But silicofluoride, the kind now used to treat water supplies, has been linked to cancer, infertility, bone fractures, and premature joint and ligament aging.

What's more, the EPA study, just released in September of 1999, shows a new correlation between silicofluorides and high levels of lead in children's blood, which has been linked to learning disabilities, hyperactivity, substance abuse, and the root causes of crime."

tea tree oil is what should be common to all toothpaste, not poisen!! just as eucalyptus can compliment and naturally sweeten the popular mint's benefits. unfortunatley most toothpaste on the market also has artificial flavors, eliminating the age old mint from the brushing regimete.
tea tree alone has 60 different volatile compounds in it's volatile oil, many strongly antiseptec and anti-inflammatory.

i am using htis great 'natures gate' toothpaste that has seaweed, green tea, baking soda, ester-c (whatever that is), folic acid, lemon oil, myhrr, echinacea, cranberry, licorice, tea tree oil, sea salt and mint oil in that order.

i was having really bad gengivitis with the tom's of maine i was using before, which sucks in my opinion. when i switched to this stuff, after the first brusing they felt better, and like the next day the inflammation went away, and the gums stoped receding and throbbing, and are now strong and vibrantly pink and so healthy and my teeth feel stronger and look better than ever, and most important of all, the toothpaste tastes really fucking great!

one drawback though i guess, it has vegatable glycerin in it. doh!

man it seems we can't escape the glycerin! some don't think it so bad though....i've heard such mixed reviews i don't know what to think anymore. i will have to ask my mom about the research....she had read some studies that a doctor had done regarding glycerin's coating properties preventing mineral absorption....Hmmmm - time to do research AGAIN!

yass yass!! it is the key hehe
i think an important part of oral hygene is what you eat and drink as well! shit a good gargle of some tea tree oil diluted wiht some other essential herbs and a good floos and swabing once in a while seems it aught to do the trick as long as you live from the Earth...although they are making good advances in toothbrush technology away from petrolum bristles into which makes it more feasable to live a proper livestyle. yeah!

ewwww....metal fillings!
unfortunately i do have some, but have heard much about how they leach/leak
i would like to have mine removed & maybe re-done (but with what)
anyway, what a pipe dream....i'm a poor hippie sister with no insurance. i did hear about a 'holistic' dentist in fairhope in lower alabama (or LA as we call it)...worth looking into i suppose

yes metal IMO should Not be anywhere near the mouth, in so far as chopsticks are way more enlightened! people tell me nah the metal fillings only used to be poisenous, now they're much better. nah i don't think so! i have done a little research and anyway it's soooooo unsettling...i want mine removed SO BAD. That stuff they hot weld em on with is a toxic waste chemical also! (which is why it leaks ((bad joke))
Removing the bastards is supposibly a VERY intricite process requiring expensive equipment and hands of a surgeon, because thats what it is in the highest regard!! it can cause extensive damage if done improperly, so do your research on who you contract carefully.
might i suggest calling the 800 number to the (huggins) diagnostic labratory, who will hook a brother/sister up with a local certified holistic dentist in your area, and checking out this web site, it's not as expensive as you (or i previously up until a few seconds ago I) think!!!, like 1,000 for 6-8 replacement plastic fillings, and if you have less work to do than that, all the less mula!
I can't believe what i'm hearing in this website!!! It is outrageous, and unfortunatley affects both you and i *josai* because we are in the unfortunate generation who got mercury fillings :( but there is hope!!!
Check out this website!

Okay, it's nothing super-special, but I just mised up a paste with baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and tea tree oil, and for the first time in a long time (after years of brushing with tom's of maine) my teeth feel clean! hooray! and I think that combo (baking soda and peroxide) really works great for eating away the harder-to-get gunk near the gums. My mouth looked really clean afterwards, not just artificially, glycerin-shiny...

yeah i know what you mean! it's so funny you say pipe dream hehehe...did you read that website though? i can't believe the sad state we're in. it's actually illegal in some states for dentists to even discuss this subject.
