Touchy subject

No offense, but why in the world would you come into the Parenting Forum and say that you think that ALL babies and toddlers are ugly????? If you don't like children then you don't need to be in a forum where parents are proud of their beautiful babies( and toddlers). I used to hate children( before I had my own) but I would have never said something as ingnorant as I think all babies and children are ugly. I really hope that you don't ever have kids, because If you would think that your own children are ugly, well, I feel sorry for them.

I actually hate kids and have no intention of having any...but I do sometimes enjoy reading various forums and this thread caught my attention. I was just thrilled to find out that I'm not the only one who thinks babies are ugly!

I mean, I always have these coworkers shoving baby pics in my face and saying, "Oh look how cute he is!" I read the thread because I wanted to find out how other people handle that situation. I mean, you can't just say, "For gods' sakes, get that picture away from me before I lose my lunch!"
That sort of ticks people off. I was kind of looking for a kinder way to say, "Please stop showing me pics of your ugly kids, because I just couldn't be less interested!"

 

Yes, I am. I think all babies are beautiful. They are new and fresh and unsoiled and innocent. No matter what they look like, they have beautiful eyes, which can look right into you. I adore babies. I have never seen one I think is not beautiful.

 

WHY would you say something like that? Would it somehow HELP the mother raise her baby? Do you think it is exciting to hurt people with children? Do you think telling her your biased opinion of her baby will somehow make her change her child, somehow? Maybe she can get the baby some plastic surgery based solely on YOUR opinion. It's just stupid. You don't tell someone their child is unattractive. It's mean and solves nothing, except makes people who may be a bit sadistic feel better. HOW do you expect the mother to feel after you share worthless "opinions" like this with her? Do you think she'll fell just great for the rest of the day? Or is it somehow FUN to harm people with kids? Sad shit. I tell you.

There are actually "support groups" of people who call themsleves "Child Free" who LOVE to do things like this. They have websites and posts about how they say nasty things in public to people with kids, kick children when their mothers aren't watching, "just missed" a little kid with thier cars ect. What are opinons and actions like these, other than just plain hatred? If you don't like kids, PLEASE don't have them. But, harming people who do is just nasty. I see no benefit to anyone. I smell a Child Freeer.
